Alien is one of my all time fave sci-fi films.  One of the few that I rated 10/10 on IMDB.

Picked up this copy for my library ($4).  It actually was a kick and captured the b-sci-fi fifties genre nicely.  Only wished it had some extras on the dvd.

That cane that Ronald (alias Alan) was messing with in Max' office looked like the wolf's head cane from The Wolfman (1941).

The Strange World Of Planet X (1958) (aka Cosmic Monsters)  6/10

Interesting plot about powerful man-made magnetism weakening the ionosphere and allowing cosmic rays to mutate insect life on Earth. The big bug effects are a little weak, but it's still a fun ride.
