The Conjuring was an amazing, creepy film. To follow the Conjuring with a sequel, was an obvious cashcow. The Conjuring II had it's moments. Unfortunately the film and
direction miss the mark. Where was the three act structure?
Yeah.....the film tries to make the Audience feel bad for the
Family. However narrative arc fails. Too many subplots.
Only my opinion.

Oh?! There is a character that did creep-me-out (hint, hint)

TerrorVision (1986)

That film is a lot of fun! I saw it on TCM once...on the TCM Underground segment. Somewhere online, a fan commented something like: "I love this film, but what the hell is it doing on Turner Classic Movies?" They have a point. But then, it was on the Underground portion, so what the hey...and I like to just have fun once in a while when watching a movie. Plus, I think it mocked certain aspects of society in a clever way. That is how I seem to recall it, anyway!

There are many types of "classics". I usually only watch Turner on Halloween or during the Underground portion. The one month I absolutely wont watch is Oscars month. The bland, predictable movies that usually win Oscars leave me pale. There are a few exceptions ("No Country for Old Men", "Silence of the Lambs"), but mostly they are overblown "epics" or biopics. There are only so many times you can show "Gone With The Wind" or "Citizen Kane" and keep a viewership happy. Showing cool little "cult classics" guarantees that Turner will continue long after their current audience starts dying away.

I'm over TCM and their lack of respect for certain films. TCM
has become the Rolling Stone Magazine/Rock and Roll Hall of Fame of classic film channels......and that is a fair assessment of a channel that lacks integrity.

I remember long ago when TCM started the TCM Underground, hosted by Rob Zombie. My response was, wow! Finally! I guess with Rob's suggestion, TCM
showed many cult classics. Including- Electric Glide
in Blue (1973). To this day, I have never seen TCM
reaire the film. I truly believe with Rob Zombie's influence,
He was able to show films that have never been seen on
television.

I just got done watching The Invisible Man (1933) with both parents this time instead of only me and my Dad.

The Bloodstained Shadow (1978)

Wow, Craig Hill sure aged a lot in 8 years. In Assignment Terror (1970) he was a dashing James Bondesque fellow, but in this film he appears much older. Still a great actor, though.

Short Night Of Glass Dolls (1971)

A young Barbara Bach shines in this film dealing with the oppressive Powers That Be. Cool and bizarre ending.

It Came From Hollywood (1982)

Funny flick with Cheech & Chong, John Candy, and other comedians. Beaucoup monster movie clips.

ALWAYS MONSTERING...
