Always enjoy this movie. Caught this on TCM last night. Was that Karen Black hosting? I missed the first couple minutes, but she looked good!
No, It was Lorraine Bracco. I thought she seemed more detached from what was going on than Candace Hilligoss.

(BTW, I love this movie--with NOTLD, probably the best zero-budget horror film ever. Scared the hell out of me the first time I saw it on TV when I was 9.)

Smokey and the Bandit. Just kidding. Night of the Living Dead.

Phantom Stranger

"The Black Room" (1935)
                     -Boris Karloff

Plot: IMDB
Prophecy has it that younger twin Anton will kill brother Gregor in the castle's Black Room. Anton returns to the castle after a 10 year hiatus. Gregor, a Baron, has many attempts on his life as his subjects detest his tyranny. However, good natured Anton earns the subjects' respect, and the admiration of Col.Hassel, uncle of the beautiful Thea. When Gregor kills young servant Mashka, his subjects storm the castle to remove him. Devious Gregor renounces his title in favour of brother Anton to appease them. He then kills Anton to assume his identity and the Baronship again. He is free to pursue Thea with Col.Hassel's blessing. When Col.Hassel discovers Gregor's impersonation, he also meets death. With Thea's true love, Lt. Lussan, wrongfully convicted of Hassel's murder, it appears nothing can stop evil Gregor from ambushing her into marriage. But what of that prophecy?

Phantom's Review: Twice the Karloff..Twice the joy of seeing a truly great actor work. One of his best films, creepy, atmospheric and wonderfully acted. This is a classic thriller.

Thanks MGD. I caught glimpses of her while I was picking up the Munchkin Destruction (what we call the result of our 14 month daughter's playtime before bed).

I didn't hear much, just saw her!

I love this movie. Holden makes a great vampire...creepy and sultry.

I haven't thought or seen it in years.  Now that you mentioned, I want to find a copy somewhere.  I also remember him guest starring in an old Snoop Sisters playing a ghoulish lounge lizard.  I seem to also remember him dancing in a giant tooth costume to Unfinished Suite.  One I will not recommend to anyone is the movie they starred in but seemed like they were guest starring in their own movie and it featured the director playing himself trying to make a special.

What about the Paul Lynde Halloween special with Kiss.
