Phantom Stranger

"Godzilla 2000"

Plot: IMDB

Godzilla saves Tokyo from a flying saucer that transforms into the beast Orga.

Phantom's Review: First "Godzilla" film after that wretched American film was made, brings the Big G back home where he belongs. Plenty of monster action, a very cool looking "Godzilla" costume and a basic plot make this an entertaining film. Not the greatest "Godzilla" movie, but certainly not the worst.

Ghost Rider (2012) -avoid at all costs! The husband and I could only make it through a half hour of this steaming pile of doo doo. Went and got our money back and the girl apologized. I think it's Nicholas Cage who needs to start apologizing to people. Can the man do anything but act manic any more? He wasn't the only problem with it but he sure stood out. Terrible.

They refunded you because the movie stunk?? Wow........obviously, you used your feminine wiles, or the Linebacker beat the cash out of the manager. ;D
We're all here because we're not all there.

The Linebacker can be quite persuasive.

Can't say as I've ever asked for a refund at a movie before...wonder if it would work at an NFL or MLB game?? :)

Moonshadow

That might be a little more tricky. I sure would've liked to have tried that with some Oakland A's games I attended back in the 90s.

This was not the first movie we've left early and gotten our money back on. I think the key is, we didn't sit through the entire film. It was funny, the girl (anyone under 30 is a girl or kid  to me) not only apologized but said they weren't selling many tickets for Ghost Rider, and we both said, "There's a reason why!"

HaHa I remember going to a Giants game at the 'stick against the Dodgers. We'd all had a few and it turned on us by the 3rd we were down 10-0. More than most of the crowd let their message known that day!

Or you could just see half a dozen other movies both factual and fictional or documentaries that cover the same ground!! ;)

True, true ;D  It helps though when it is about someone you know.  I guess it makes it more interesting than some stranger.

The Empire Strikes Back (aka the one Lucas didn't destroy); if for no other reason Empire is still watchable just for the fact that it's CGI dehancements aren't as distracting as Star Wars or Return of the Jedi's; just some added spaceship action and scenery for Cloud City.  The CGI spaceship scenes still stick out like a sore thumb when compared to the practical f/x but nothing like the silliness added to Star Wars or the horrible band sequence in Return!!  Empire definitely stands out as the best of the series now!!!
