Your website looks fantastic!! You look like an extremely talented young man, Dr. B.!!  I think you're gonna bring something wonderful to Mercer U.!  :)
I have been out of town, but I am gonna crawl under a foosball table later today, and see if it's till there.

Thank you so much for your kind words! We're hoping to do something truly great and memorable.

One more question for you folks. Should we film the show in color, or black and white?

Both offer something, but you might want to try black and white first.  That will offer a better mood for your program.  But if people do complain too much, you can always "get a budget increase for color".

That would be funny.

My only concerns are these:

1. The first movie we show, is in color.
2. Studies show that horror movies are scarier in black and white, but comedies are funnier in color (at least as perceived by the audience viewing them)

How would you feel about matching with the movie.  If it's a black and white show, you film in black and white, if it's color, you film in color.  You can explain that you bought a second hand color generator which "goes out" occasionally.

I think we're going to do the show in color, but do the final episode of Roger Corman month (Creature from the Haunted Sea) in black and white and use such a gag. I think that's brilliant.

So...if someone with really slow DSL service wanted a DVD-R of the show, how much would you estimate, including shipping? $10-$12 per episode?

I was actually thinking about doing a DVD release at the end of the season, with every episode included, for probably $20 plus shipping. We'll have to figure out the logistics of that, though.

Maybe you could have a switch on the wall, that switches your show to black and white, when ever you have a black and white film, to make that part of the show.

Hey!  I had that idea for a show I wanted to do!  I'd better get crackin' on it.  :)

Oh, and good luck Dr. Blasko!

Thanks for the input. I think we're going to keep it as is for now.

Here is something I just whipped up quickly as a test, a little bumper to go to commercial:

The picture was taken by a Mercer University student when the SUPERMOON came out. Works very nicely!

A few bits of good news! First and foremost, the entire first season has been scripted! Second, I found out that our station has changed its advertising policy, and we will be selling ad space now (before it was only on campus ads we did for free, but now we can do off campus stuff for a price). This will go a long ways in helping fund the show.

Also, someone outbid me on a colored Diamond Select Wolfman with 1 second left. I will end that person.

Does anyone have any advice for building our lab of a set? We're trying to figure out a cheap way to go about it, as far as the background props go.
