Hey, we all had those little Spock disc shooters, fun stuff !!

Hep...I already buried the Fanner in a box under stuff, but I'm bettin' that's a '58. No, not a recent purchase.....had it so long I can't recall when.     Buddy

I had a Fanner 50 IN the 50s! (bettin it's a .45 though). Complete with Greenie Stickem' caps and those little two piece bullets. I also had a belt buckle Derringer that used Greenies. Wow the stuff toy companies made in those good old days. Thanks for the memories BigBuddy!

Here's my Mattel Fanner 50 Shootin' Shell Pistol. What a cool toy! This was back before every mommy and daddy sued the toy company when little Johnny shot his sister in the arm and she cried. Little draw-string pouch holds the two-part shells. This pistol dates from late 50's-early 60's. I've often heard sellers or owners of this gun point to the hole in the handle and remark that something is missing. Actually the hole is a bullet loader for assembling the two-part bullets......Buddy

HOLY FREAKING DEJA VU BATMAN!! I had this bad boy when I was a..........you know...........bad boy!! A 68 copyright date would be about right for me. I'd be 4 years old and ready to tame the West (with Johnny West of course). Thanks for showing this Bud!!

Even 58 would work for me.........I got a TON of old toys from my Uncle Robert when I was a kid in 1970 and we moved into his boyhood home. Robert was my dad's youngest brother, and we bought my grandfather's house in 1970 and moved in. The attic was FULL of old toys and comics!that were Robert's. He was about 12 years older than me, and that would put it in the right age range. As soon as I saw it I recognized it, and when I saw the view on the box of how the shells loaded there was no doubt this was my gun!

Halloween Jeff

I remember having 007's Astin Martin from "Goldfinger"---it was a wired remote, and even had an ejector seat.  I got it for Christmas back in the 60s, and my brother broke it the next day....it sat in my dad's workshop for years, before I lost track of it.....just thinking that it would cost MIB makes me cry....

Just a Halloween g uy in a normal world...

Jeff, What you describe is the Japanese made M101 Aston Martin DB5. It is usually credited as being produced by Durham Industiries. There were 2 great tin battery op 007 Astons produced.  The more common battery tin Aston is by Gilbert. Both were made in the 60's, both are valuable, but only the M101 is wire remote. M101 is far more difficult to come by.......best go check your Dad's workbench again. And bring you thoughts and comments over to the new BOND..JAMES BOND thread........Buddy

Huh? Were you intending to post this in the "Gentlemen, start your engines" thread?

BB guns and pellet guns were the thing back then. I had a pistol that worked off a CO2 cartridge. That was really nice, no chocking just pullthe trigger till the cartridge ran out of gas.........

bigbud

Here's a Crosman pellet gun from the 60's. I keep this guy stashed away cause it is downright spooky. It's weight and looks are exactly those of the 38 issued to federal law enforcement back at that time. It was used extensively for training. You carry this bad-boy around and folks would scatter.......Scatter. That's why I keep it buried in the basement. As a kid I wanted this type of item in the worse way, as an adult I readily see the risk of such a true replica. A great item, but definitely on the fringe in my toy collection.   Buddy

Will have to check mine when I get home Bud, have had it for years. Unfortunately started leaking so haven't used it. Was VERY accurate!
