Having a good time actually building the kits is what counts. You've done an excellent job and you've encouraged your son to join in the fun. Two great accomplishments in one!
You knew the job was dangerous when you took it, Fred.

Thanks guys. This is a fun way for me and the boy to share our love of the Universal monsters. I'm sure he'll have fond memories of it in years to come.

They sure look good to me.

Absolutely!

i still have that old aurora comic-back-ad around here somewhere. and like 14 of those 15 in the build list. only built like 5 of them wbw - couldnt lay my hands on all of them from rural south tx. almost can now.

regarding the man from uncle diorama halves, found an ebay auction awhile back for the pair. assembled but unpainted. that could be interesting...

i built the old aurora hulk and spidey years ago, but i prefer the new "normal aurora" scale moebius versions. that was a good idea.

good stuff...

I Love seeing all these great Aurora figure kits! I wish PL would or could reissue all of them!
Crazy am I? We'll see if I'm crazy or not!

The horror stuff is mostly done, really want the missing MOM and Scenes kits. I'd like the sports kits too

I really like the sculpt of the Aurora Monsters of the Movies Creature. It's even better than the original one which is saying a lot.

Here's a cool ad from the back cover of DC comics cover dated November 1968 for Aurora's UFO from The Invaders  show:

Here are three videos going though my collection of the original 12.  Most are not original, I did these some years ago.

Pretty slick! I'm as impressed with the videos as the models. Is that you doing the narration?

A couple of quick questions.

1. Aurora was known for warplanes, ships and sundry figure kits prior to releasing the monster models. It was Ideal Toys that released Mr. Machine in 1960. Why do you associate it with Aurora?

2. Do you ever paint the parts of a model kit before you glue it together?

My goof in doing an episode off the top of my head and yes, I always do my kits in subsections.
