Opera Ghost

Somehow I managed to lose track of this thread, and what a trip down memory lane. I remember everyone of these except child of glass! Curtis was the king of Horror, suspense and thriller TV in the 70s

F2--thanks for the Dark Shadows link
"In each of us, two natures are at war--the good and the evil. All our lives the fight goes on between them, and one of them must conquer..."

The Creeper

Never seen The Watcher in the Woods, but will have to check it out now!  Thanks Doc, I didn't think it was on dvd.  I check some times and come up with nothing.  I was hoping maybe you had a dvd-r of it, I would love to see it again.
Long live the UMA!

I agree...a vhs 1978 movie that was good, but not spectacular for $71.00 or $29.00.... why??

Unknown Primate

#111
DAUGHTER OF THE MIND (1969)
Ray Milland, Don Murray, Gene Tierney

This flick is more in the suspense/thriller genre, but when I first saw it at age 13, there were some absolutely chilling scenes.  It really creeped me out at the time.

From the IMDB site:
A professor of cybernetics comes to believe that his dead daughter is communicating with him from the netherworld.

THE NORLISS TAPES (1973)
Roy Thinnes, Angie Dickinson

Another classic from none other than...  DAN CURTIS!
" Perhaps he dimly wonders why, there is no other such as I. "

Unknown Primate

I totally agree, Doc!  I wish it had been more of an actual horror film.

Gargoyles, BUG and Dark Night of the Scarecrow were a few TV movies that scared the sh!t outta me as a kid.

I just watched Gargoyles on VHS the other day. Still a great classic, too. I think
Bernie Cassie's portrayal as the main Gargoyle was incredible and creepy.
"They come from the bowels of hell; a transformed race of walking dead. Zombies, guided by a master plan for complete domination of the Earth."

The Creeper

I watched Gargoyles last week, one of the better dvd finds this year for me.
Long live the UMA!

Norliss Tapes....would have been a great series if it ever picked up, unfortunately...the pilot bombed..
really cant blame it tho, a blue vampire creature...kinda reminds me of those cheap Itallian blue faced zombie movies  ;D

This movie was not a TV movie, but it still one of my faves "Phantoms" starring Peter O'Toole...
I love the Patsy Cline song that plays throughout the movie "Falling to pieces"...
Spooky show...kinda of an alien cthuhulu (I know I spelled it wrong) theme....
based on the book by Dean Koontz..

The Creeper

Long live the UMA!

Wicked Lester

I caught most of Who Ever Slew Auntite Roo last night on a local cable station. Been wanting to see this one for many years. It wasn't that good and IMO wasn't much more than an older kids flick.

what's the name of that movie with Bette Davis in it, she's crazy as a loon..I think she lives with her sister..
I just remember bits and pieces of it, it seems like Bette Davis kills a couple of people in it...I also remember a dead rat being served on the dinner plate..
any idea??
