These for years have been my most sought after figures. However the prices people have been asking are way outta my range. $60-90. I can buy a cool mask for that. I had a couple as a kid. A purple witch and if memory is correct a lime green executioner. A couple big kids from down the block roughed me up and stole em when I was maybe 5. Been looking for affordable replacements for the last 20 yrs.
Thanks to Jim B. I have Mexican repros. 8) So anyone that has any fig any color I'd love to see pics. I have an original yellow wolfman in "ok" shape I bought 10 years ago for around $25 and painted.

Thanks

BANE

Just wait till Halloween.  I will get you some recasts.  We did it last year and had a ball.  At least I did.  I will get a heck of alot more this time around.

Here's a pic of the MPC Pop Top Horrors.  I believe the originals came in yellow, orange and purple.  You can also tell originals because they were stapled to the base of the pack.

The repros from Mexico are a bit of a pain to collect because sellers often try to get $20+ a piece... but if you can find a source in Mexico, they're something like $1-2 in the pack.

BANE

Hey Getter.

I am the source in Mexico.  I own the Monster Cafe in Saltillo Mexico.  Last year I sent up 24 two packs of these baddies for trade with some guys on here for monster goodies.  Worked out well.  Again, thanks to all!  I will do it again this Halloween.  I will get 50 two packs.

Wicked Lester

Yep. Bane and our own Jim B. helped me get the repros and I tossed some stuff Banes way in trade. Cool but still not original. Way different plastic and color.
I guess from Getters pics my executioner was actually yellow. That is a 40+ year memory I am going by.
Thanks for the pics. Very cool. I years ago (15) had about 20 mpc monsters in different colors as well as a glow full set. Nice but not the same as the Pop Tops. Sold most of them off for other collectibles.

Here are some different sized MPC's

What's the smaller White Witch figure Bobby? Is that an original  MPC figure too?

The smaller white witch came (at least this is how I got mine) in those monster grab bags in the early 1970s.  In that small size came the witch and the grim reaper without his scyth but waving.  They were later reissued in the early 1990s in light blue colored plastic.

Yep, and the painted one with the cauldron is a cake topper.  I think the cake topper and small one were not made by MPC but used their sculpt.

The little ones are great. I've never seen those before, only the Pop-Tops and the Unbreakable Weird Monsters.

Thanx for the pics. IMO these are the coolest plastic monsters ever. It amazes me that people want 2-3X the price of an original Marx. I bought the Charben monsters in red a while ago but still not as cool

I'd still be looking for the big kids. "Hey, remember me?"

But which of these are the MPC Pop-Tops?

???
Collecting! It's what I do!

bigbud

Hey, someone shoot a pic of the MPCs with their heads popped for Hep!  Can't miss em then!  Buddy

Monolith

I don't have a shot with the head popped off, but in this shot you can see the neck peg on the Pop Top (the big one on the left). The head has a peg attached that fits into a hole on the body.
I only have three originals; this Frankenstein, a Werewolf and a Grim Reaper. I'm looking to complete the set sometime.

I'm missing the Werewolf and I have a chewed skeleton.......just chanced on the 6 I have. For MANY years I didn't know these big guys existed! My favorite is the grim reaper!   Buddy
