Interesting that the figures in these two MPC toy sets from the sixties consist of the 2 1/2" variants of the MPC Pop Tops:

MPC Horror House

MPC Haunted Hulk

I want to get these two sets all the more now!

Heres my loose Horror House set, only missing one styro bullet. I have an old metal tiger target board set up behind them.

And here is my favorite toy in my collection! The Haunted Hulk! I have wanted this forever and thanks to poseablemonster I now have it! Thanks Andy! I used a vintage chrome slate bottom 5 gallon fish tank  for its display case, I have several of my old toys dislayed in these old chrome tanks including a penn plax creature ornament in one. I think they look real neat.

and here is my dug up mpc pop top skeleton, i chose to not clean him, thought he looked perfect dirty.

these are the only three pop tops i have and my drac needs a head, any one here have an extra? any of the pop top heads will work, wolfman, skeleton, frankie,etc..any color. I just have to find him a head.

Wow, that is a superb display for the Haunted Hulk!  I am so glad that it found it's way into a collection like yours.  Thanks for the pics!

Oh man, that is fabulous! You should try to find a few more non-green 2 1/2" MPC pop-tops to contrast and show up better in your green Hulk.

Does anyone know whether this was the same MPC as the Model Products Corporation that began producing model car kits in competition with AMT in the mid-sixties?

???

???

Two different companies; MPC (Model Products Corporation) began when George Toteff resigned from the presidency of AMT to start his own model car company in Mount Clemens, Michigan, bringing customizer Dean Jeffries with him.

MPC (aka Multiple Products Corp, Multiple Plastics Corp or Multiple Toymakers ), I'm not sure on the companies history but they predate the later MPC that made models.

Heres a monster playset called DRAGON CREST with glow in the dark MPC figures, It came with 2 full glow sets (16 monsters)! and tons of knights to attack the monsters castle. I think this was released in the early 80's?

I like how on the box they used multicolored figures for the photos. It says at the bottom of the box that figures and colors may not match the pictures. I noticed my vinyl mat is different from the one on the box. Im missing the two brown ladders,i wonder if i can find some that came from another set, im sure they were used in more sets than this one. anybody recognize them?

Had to put my haunted hulk sailing up the river to reinforce the troops, these knights arent going to last long.

Kind'a nifty (though crude), here's a pic showing original MPC design drawings of the smaller monsters... they came directly from MPC's archives (what survived is now part of the Toy Memories archives).

I think this is the first time I've seen any pre-production materials related to the MPC monsters.
