From the director of "Circus of Horrors" and "Burn, Witch, Burn".

Binged Penguin a few weeks ago and that put me in gangster mood. So recently watched all 3 seasons of Narcos (Colombia) and first season of Gomorrah. Both international shows so I had to watch with subtitles. I thought Narcos was outstanding. I would say it's my second favorite gangster series (Sopranos still the best imo). Gomorrah very good too and i look forward to watching season 2. Both shows extremely violent and gritty, so know what you're signing up for

Here, 2024

I thought it was interesting at first, then pretentious, then I must have gotten fully engaged - because the really great ending made me tear up a little.

Bunch of good ones! "Red River" is probably my favorite of the lot.

I am a child of the 1950's.  TV was filled with western movies and TV shows.  With a generous helping of old detective films (Sherlock Holmes, 30's & 40's hard-bitten private eyes, etc.)

The Saturday Kids' Matinees at the local theater were all the wonderful sci-fi big bugs, monsters and flying saucers of the times.

Combine that with a really universal participation in Halloween trick-or-treating (every house had a porch light on) - and it was great time to be a kid.

Never lost my fondness for westerns.

Murphy's Romance, 1985

James Garner and Sally Field in a film that is really sweet but manages to avoid being cloying.  I managed to like all the characters in the movie, even the ex-husband, who is not evil just woefully immature.

Kinda nice to see a movie without drugs, guns, explosions and tons of special effects.
