NECA HAS OBTAINED UNIVERSAL MONSTERS!!!!

I'm pretty sure that Universal bought the Karloff image outright, so they can make stuff with his image from now until the end of time.  The Toony Terrors Frankenstein sorta / kinda looks like him.  The Mummy loos very much like him.  The Wolf Man is very generic (giving him a mustache), and the Dracula figure proudly proclaims that it is Bela Lugosi as Dracula.

Not sure if the Karloff Estate, and Universal deal had an expire date or what.

Uni Studios seems to be going out of it way again to weaken its own brand with the generic monster versions.  Why these Toony monsters are really cartoony, and Lugosi Dracula is perfect, and shows how the other monsters should have 'tooned' Out.

Epic Universe monsters design leave me with no nostalgic, or collector feelings what so ever. I have no history, nor do they, that makes me want to see them.  The same as any local, or otherwise owned haunted house attraction that come up with version of the monsters to display, if I see it, ok, if I don't, that's ok too.

Uni really took the yearning desire to see their big new park away from me, and that is ok too, clears me to worry about other things.  I am still somewhat surprised they went so in on the generic monster versions I must say.

I guess they want something new they can just outright own 100%.  And a lot of folks haven't seen the old movies anyway, especially young kids.  I understand their decision to make generic monsters, but it does leave me cold and I am less excited about the park for this aspect.

Out of chance, I ordered a Necca kids CFTBL off Walmart's website. I got it, which surprised me! I've read here that folks have had bad luck with these orders.
Anyway, while I'm still annoyed at the pre order cancellation on these figures, I really like the Creature! He's cooler looking than I expected.
If I get the chance at a reasonably priced Mummy, I'll buy it too. Other than that I'd only pick up the Marvel heroes ( Spidey and Hulk) because I had those costumes as a kid.

Update, they gave me store credit, cause it turned out they were all out of them. So, I was waiting months for nothing.
