Received these two Spook-O-Lites Candles by Peerless from an eBay auction win.

These are from the 1960s and don't turn up too often. I've seen these referred to as "lamps" sometimes. I had never seen the Skull Spook-O-Lites Candle but with a little research I learned there was also a Pumpkin in addition to the Devil and Skull. They were sold by Peerless (or PTL- Peerless Tree Lights). The blow mold heads were made by Tico-Toys. Peerless also made Spook-O-Lites String Lights with three of the heads and a bulb in each one. The string lights can be found on eBay commonly, but they are expensive. The Candles are scarcer, and they are usually expensive as well. I'm glad to get both of these for a good price in an auction.

Another auction win, these two Tico Toys candy-filled tubes (Devil & Skull) went pretty cheap compared to what they normally bring. The blow mold Devil heads in particular have gotten expensive. I had never seen them with the candy still present. In a similar eBay BIN listing the seller wants $300. These were 1/3rd that. The economy is having an effect on prices.

Kind of odd.  :-\   Do you think the hair originally came with it?

Yeah. Here's another listing for a similar one I'm watching in the original bag with header card.

It's cool but that's a little more than I want to pay. The seller would probably want at least $60 on the make offer and with shipping and tax it's a little too much for me right now. Lots of other things I want more.

A Creature from the Black Lagoon game just topped out and sold a few hours ago at 6,875 dollars, it figures it was a Heritage auction.

Grabbed these Spooky Specs still in the packaging, probably from the '80s.

10 bucks for both, so just cheap Halloween toys. I like the header card art. While not vintage '60s or even '70s they're still cool for the right price, and they look pretty good in a Halloween display. I have the orange vampire glasses on a cardboard backing card that just calls them "Monster Glasses", but I like the green vampire glasses better. These Spooky Specs were fairly common in the '80s and '90s (maybe into the 2000s?) and were distributed by Halloween novelty companies like Ben Cooper and many others. These are from a company called Regent Products Corp. River Grove. IL.

You can see this exact Horrible Skull hanging on a rack in the Vincent Drug Store during the scene in Halloween 4 when Michael shoplifts his mask. "Freat" and all.

Finally added another Charles Addams book to my collection.

With most folks' economic woes there are good deals to be had on eBay if you catch an auction with low minimum bid. Got this Black Maria paperback for $7.13 total. 1964 1st Printing in VG condition. Happy to have (and read) it!

Most of my Addams books are hardbacks. This is only my second paperback. Never went for any of the original New Yorker magazines, I like the cartoon compilations in the books much better.
