You didn't mention him in your Latest Gets.

I've had pretty crap luck with Target for newer releases lately.

Whoooooa. Ok...ok...I see...interesting...

So for the NECA Burger King Frankenstein figure the cast the head and hands in transparent green and painted the jacket green.  For the Burger King Dracula they replaced the excellent Bela Lugosi head sculpt with an atrocious gerenic head sculpt.  PASS!!

Big time pass.
Morning, noon, or night, Anytime . . . . the count may strike. If you're caught you have to linger, Cause Dracula may bite your finger!

Actuallyyyy, it's way cooler that just reusing the existing Lugosi head - they ponied up and paid to have the extra sculpting and tooling made up to do a spot-on recreation of the original BK toy.  Very, very impressive to do for such a limited release, vs the Remcos which are straight up simple repaints, and half of those are at mass retail.  These are the same price as the base Neca figures, more limited, and comes with extra monster stuff that may be cool too.

But then, I'm in my 30's and don't demand that every piece of Uni Monster merch be based on a 100 year old movie...

Stay sick. Turn blue. Drop dead.

Can we say for  certain this isn't just a repainted Lugosi? It may be. They didn't resculpt any of the Remco paint schemes or b/w offerings. It could be a heavy re-paint of this head....

Count Zachula

Its 100% a new sculpt.
I agree. I'm down with this.  It's special. At least we already have a screen accurate Bela Drac in this line (3 to be exact!),  I'll accept this generic version as a tribute.  Just wish I could afford all these loot boxes at the moment.

MonsterBaker666

Must have taken about 5 minutes to sculpt the new head, if that.

I guess their other figures will be resculpted tributes of the original BK toys..I’ll Pass too.
From original release toys, only Karloff was a true likeness, the Wolf Man in ads and promos was Chaney, the toy not so much.  Guess they will resculpt Creature too, if they follow through on these..at least I won’t have to go scalp’n for these.

Anton Phibes

While I have the original BK toys, and think they are cool...I don't plan to buy the NECA re-visits.  I am unsure, however, why folks don't seem to like these offerings from NECA. They are supposed to look like the Happy Meal Toys. Dracula looked like the UPS delivery guy....not Bela Lugosi. So it stands to reason that the re-visit would have the same generic features.

MrDark1

The re-visits of the Remco tributes didn't follow this stand of reason-that's why I got them.
I would prefer the Ultimate sculpts dressed up in homage of the BK too, a win, win.

Get em, if you like em.  Probably couldn't secure Lugosi Dracula image for these BK tribute anyway.

It's true, they didn't resculpt the Remco offerings. But the paint on Frank to make him resemble the Remco is a tad off. Due to the sculpted hair being visible beneath the paint. Their Remco Phantom and Dracula appear very nice from the SDCC videos I have seen online, as does the Creature I saw in person at a local shop. The Phantom appears to be the best Remco paint style in my opinion. Its lovely.

I have been collecting so long, I don't see the nostalgia in the BK offerings. But I can understand if they had been released when I was 8-10 years old rather than being married with a kid at the time they were released. So kudos to all the younger monster kids who will gobble these up.
