I have no idea why these photos of the Surfink costume did not work, despite trying them every way to Sunday. Sorry! So, here is the url link to the host site instead:

Here's the original Collegeville Rat Fink costume from the 1960's:

And here's the snazzy 1991 Collegeville reissue belonging to SpeedierThantheGrave:

And here's a picture of the 1963 Revell model kit for comparison's sake:

If only I could own a Rat Fink costume

Sadly a lot of the pictures posted earlier in this thread (including those by Sandman78) have now disappeared.

I had the foresight to save some of the images that were posted, however! Here then are some shots from Sandman78's Collegeville Halloween costume collection:

Man! This guy has a great collection.
ALWAYS MONSTERING...

Hepcat

Yeah. Pity he stopped posting pics of his collection year-by-year. Those first few pictures he posted really opened my eyes to kids' Halloween costumes as a new collectibles avenue.

:(

Here are some good pictures of a Collegeville Creature from the Black Lagoon costume from 1980:

Here's another variant of a Creature costume issued by Rubie's in 1991:

Man! This guy has a great collection.

It must have taken many years and lots of cashola $$ to have mint on hanger pieces. WOW! Ya just don't see them anymore. Some collectors are paying decent $ just for a mask with a broken rubberband. I have restrung about a dozen of mine, easy to do and costs about 25 cents and 3 mins of time.

You know it! The Mutant one is not far behind.

And a variant from the 1990's:

The costume in the bagged version is better.

I can't find any pics, but it's a variation of the Rubie's hang tag one, only with a different costume in a poly bag with a header card.

Collegeville offered the now fabled Vampire Girl costume for many years. Here are pictures of some variants of the box and costume over the years:
