I have my doubts ANY of the newer ones are actually made in Hong King. I'm betting USA.

That would make them fan made, then.

newer ones? so, like the revamped sculpts?
if anything, i guess i could fall inline with the idea that someone got ahold of the revamped molds (hatchet head frank.. pig nose wolfman... ect) around the 90s along with the molds for the best plastics palmer flats. ive talked to a few collectors that bought boxes of them around the 90s - even MJV still offers both the revamped sculpt pencil toppers & best flats figures- needless to say the plastic used on the ones in their inventory is "newer"

im still looking for proof - hard evidence to date these.
here is a 5 cent header card that contains 2 of the chromed vacuum plated Metaluna heads.
this is exactly the kind of concrete proof i'm looking for - 5 cent card should put these right around the 60s-70s

He labels these repops "Vintage 60s" while at the same time referring to himself as a "trusted seller". Yeah, trust him to post a misleading description whenever possible to puff up his selling price.

The UMA is the most trusted site for designer sunglasses.  This I know.

In a way. Granted this UMA site can and does expose a person to previously unseen paraphernalia and collectibles that may then exert a powerful tug on our heartstrings and pocketbooks.

It can, however, also be used as a resource to protect oneself from purchasing fraudulent items.

Are you sure?  I've been here for a decade, and I'm pretty sure I've got some shady shades in my desk drawer...

And... the fact that I am stuck with this mass-produced, faux-vintage pig-nosed Wolf Man.   ;D

here is a side by side comparison:

I kinda like my pig-nosed one more than the other one.  If I were to put a date on mine, I'd say it's from the '80s or '90s, as it was in this pile of plastic trinkets and cake decor from that era.  Plus the whole Hong Kong stamp...  That's a definite sign of the '80s.  Now, if they are still re-popping these today, as it would seem, who knows where they are coming from...  Definitely not Hong Kong.
