alright, i'll try to keep this as short as possible.

until recently these were basically the 4 most common 1 inch frank heads known to me.

from left to right: 1) aurora type eraser head mold... 2) hard plastic painted head mold - kinda resembles the mold used for the eraser head... 3) basic plastic mold... and 4) hatchet head mold.

examples of molds 1,3, & 4 come in all sorts of different colors... and as you can see mold 4 is sometimes chromed.

well, here is a new one to me:

its another hard plastic 1 incher. the mold used for this one may just be the same one / or similar to the ones used on the 1 & 2. Could be that these never made it to get painted because it sure does look a lot like the painted head... although it has more detail like the eraser... could just be that the detail is more visible because there is no paint? what do you think?

PS... have i seen a chromed version of this in a boardie's collection here - or did i just imagine that?

It does look similar to the 4th painted head one although the ring on the top of the head looks to be a different size than any of the others.

Bit of a mystery.

I really love that marbled Frank head, it looks to be a real rarity.

Good find, hang onto that one as long as you can

This is the only one I have...  It's all hard plastic, neon-green.  What year do you think it's from?

Haha!  I think it's the pig nose version.  I can barely read if there is anything written on the hoop, but I think, if it said something, it might say, "Hong Kong."  So, probably a more recent re-pop?  These aren't really part of my expertise, but fun nonetheless.  Picked it up at an antique store a coupla years ago.

Mine either, but everybody's been saying those pig nose ones are newer.

"Antique"? I'd say the store was using a pretty loose definition.

Well, the thing was like a buck.  I'm glad I didn't spend more than that now, having found out it is a pig-nosed Wolf Man... from Hong Kong no less.   :D

I have my doubts ANY of the newer ones are actually made in Hong King. I'm betting USA. No matter what the mark. They are little bastards.
