Just viewed the color and B&W versions of The Monster at Mezco's Comic Con booth.  It truly is a thing of beauty with amazing detail for 6-inch figure.  However, the color version is still a little too green for my liking;  the B&W version is the one I decided on.  Just a personal preference.  Apparently there is a strong chance the B&W version will be sold at a later date as a diorama, as shown.  It looks great! http://s345.photobucket.com/user/Joe_Baeza/media/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsplsmr4q9.jpeg.html?sort=3&o=0

I still like the black and white best, I ordered both and I am hoping the color one looks great in person. Looks good, but not great in the pics your posted.

Monster Bob

He's wearing baby booties, but other than that, a nice looking figure.

If it isn't clarified until they are in shops whether or not one set of head/hands is color and the other b/w for this "exclusive"....I am going to easily cool my jets, curb my enthusiasm, and just wait and see what's what upon release. I cannot stand not knowing how to invest in a line, and budget accordingly. It bugs me,lol. 8)

I have the perfect arrangement.  A friend of mine wants both, so I will order one of each. After close inspection, I will keep the one.I feel looks best and sell the.other to him. He will then order the one I kept for himself.  Problem solved.

Are you at liberty to answer Mord's previous question about the color Frankenstein grimacing face and extra hands? Are they also color or Black and White? Hard to tell from Previews and no information online as yet.
I think the description that Mezco sent out makes this pretty clear:

http://www.mezcotoyz.com/one-12-collective-universal-monsters-frankenstein

Perhaps the most iconic movie monster of all time, Frankenstein first terrified audiences in 1931. Portrayed by legendary actor Boris Karloff as a terrifying yet misunderstood and tormented creature, Universal's Frankenstein monster has gripped moviegoer's imaginations ever since.

Cobbled together from corpses stolen from graves and the scaffold — reanimated by lightning — Frankenstein terrorized a small village while seeking vengeance on his creator.

Meticulously developed to capture the terrifying look of the iconic creature and outfitted on a One:12 Collective body, the figure's detailing is incredible; the final product captures the look and spirit of the character as he appeared in the legendary film.
The One:12 Collective Frankenstein features:

    Accurate real fabric clothing
    Hyper-realistic portraits
    Super articulated body
    Character specific sutured forearms
    Film-accurate asphalt spreader boots

What's in the box:

    Standard portrait
    Angry portrait
Posing hands with attached forearms (L&R)
Grasping hands with attached forearms (L&R)
Functioning shackles with real metal chain
    Display base with posing post

Each figure is packaged in a deluxe, fifth panel window box with translucent acetate slipcover. Designed for collector convenience, the packaging allows for both maximum protection as well as ease of removal for display

I think the description that Mezco sent out makes this pretty clear:

Mord's question was about the color version of this figure and not the black and white one. This is because in the pictures of the color one Frankenstein is shown with the different head and arms in black and white and not color. It's hard to know for sure if the color one will come with all color parts (including the different head sculpt and differently posed hands), or if these extra parts will indeed be black and white like the picture shows.

I'm thinking everything will be in color even though it would be nice to have a mix of black and white and color.

I don't think you understand the question I was asking GillFan. I do know how to read....but that's not even the item I was questioning, lol.

See this pre-order for the "color" exclusive??? One of the portraits and sets of arms is in balck and white. If this is the case, you get the best of both worlds. If it isn't....then one might wish to get both figures. So my question is this: Is the exclusive mix and match (as the photo implies) or is it all color and the solicitation is just a lazy one.

Finally a green I can get behind.  I was sick and tired of the pale green that Sideshow was using on the 12" figures.  This is a nice change.  I definitely want one with a diorama.   ;D

Mord

I wonder if the dioramas will be sold separately. I'd hate to buy a figure then find out that I have to buy another one if I want a diorama.  I still find the green too "jolly green giant" for me.  I'll go for the black and white version myself.

At least you kind of know what you're going to buy. I don't,lol.

I thought you were the "color or bust" guy? It would be great to have the regular green head with black and white  grimace head. I think that most of us would be on board with that.

I usually am, and you're right: mix and match would answer all woes. But I dont have a monochromatic set of anything in ym collection....so I am not sure what I am going to do yet.

MODIFICATION...the black and white set is looking better to me with every new pic someone posts. Take a peek:

Mord

You're  preaching to the choir, buddy. I've been team silver screen on this figure since day one. It is  like no other Karloff monster I've ever seen. It's in a league of it's own.

I'm pretty confident the color comes with color heads and hands and the B&W with B&W, if it was the way you're hoping for what would be the point of two figures?
