Very cool, haveapotato!  That little wooden chapel they're in is very interesting, too.  What's the story on that?  Nice antique.  The old Donald Duck is cool too.

I picked up these monster items over the course of the last month - the beginning of my monster collection!

Cool! Are those MPC Pop-Tops and Weird Monsters originals or repros?

???

And what is the story about what looks like a brass Frankenstein head - dead center in the picture?

I don't recognize it.

Thanks for the comments, guys. Will try to post photos of the GS mask when I get a chance over the next few days. It was purchased from another member here. Great item. My favorite pieces in the collection have to be the Monster-Nik (this was a must-have for me) and the Wolfman 45.

The wooden church niche I got from an antique outlet in Essex, MA a couple years ago for $15. The guy didn't have much to say about it, but guessed it came from somewhere locally. I've collected antiques pretty much since I was a kid, just now getting seriously into vintage toys. I'm also a huge Carl Barks fan and have added a few duck items over the years. My favorite is the Dark Horse syroco style figure kinda hidden in the back there. The metal rings around the Marx dino's neck are also Disney, cereal premiums from the 50s(?) I think...

Yes, the MPCs are all originals. The Pop-Top I got for $20 delivered, really like them. The little guys aren't nearly as impressive to me but still cool. Prices are all over the board on these, but they seem pretty common and I've noticed good deals popping up (no pun intended) fairly regularly. Would like to add a Pop-top witch and reaper at some point. The only thing here I'm not sure is vintage (other than the mask and the 12" Frank obviously) are the monster charms around the chalkware Donald's neck, the plastic looks too shiny to me, they were only a buck though, so what the heck.

The little brass Frankenstein head is a mystery to me as well. Got it cheaply online, appears to have some age to it, and looks homemade, as the neck was cast unevenly so he kind of sits on an angle.

Is the head solid, face mask only, or...?

The red rat-bat-spider-crab is up on EBay as I type. In box for $295.

Yeah, it's solid. I think it's a mold from the Aurora head, I don't have one here to compare though. Here's a close up.

Additionally here are a couple of pics of the Glenn Strange mask as requested above.

Pardon the rather poor quality of the photos.

Thanks for posting the pics haveapotato, cool looking GS Frank.

Welcome new member, ZMAN1981.

That is a cool bucket.  Not as rare as the Clinton Frankenstein bucket, but they don't show up on eBay very often.

Did you learn anything about its original use?  Was it sold as is for trick-or-treating?  Did it originally come loaded with Halloween candy/cookies?  Did it have a lid at one time?

I have one of these and like it a lot.  But no one seems to know anything other than what is written on the bottom about them.

Nice find.

Thank you  everybody for the warm welcome.  I don't know a whole lot about the piece.  I love the Lee Ames art and couldn't pass it up.  These are actually the photos from the listing, as I have yet to receive it in hand.
