Great heads, Dr.Madd! I like witch doctor especially, something very Lucha Libre about it.

Unknown Primate those are super shirts! The Son Of Frankenstein Monster is a perfect match for Sasquatch- it makes me almost want to go and start working out...almost.

Artman- very unusual take on the WereWolf Of London- usually depicted with light brown, almost shaggy hair, your bluish tones and black hair on your subject give a vampiric look to it. Superb work!

Creaturerevenge, your Gillman posters have a nice '30s/early '40s feel to them, somewhat reminiscent of the posters for THE MUMMY'S TOMB. They are sheer delight!

Illoman

Manuel Sanjulian has posted what appears to be a penciled rough for a proposed issue of Famous Monsters, featuring the Creature:

Another stunning Sanjulian monster painting. This time, Boris as the monster:

Illoman- I could look at these all day! The Creature looks so expressive. Those eyes....Wow! It's a fantastic drawing.
The Frankenstein's monster blew me away!! I know you are an artist, but I have no trace of artistic ability- so when I see something like this I realize that it's partly technique & partly passion, but I cannot imagine how he was able to make the monster look so amazingly real! The light on his face and the way his skin seems moist(??) and alive astounds me! I am so happy you put this link on here, Illoman. I appreciate every work of monster art I get the pleasure of seeing, and Sanjulian is now a name I will never forget  :)

Hey everyone! Just finished up the last of 3 prints I have been working on for some upcoming conventions! Me and the wife are going to be setting up at a LOT of shows and conventions this year and I like to try and do some original pieces that tie into some of the special guests or events that they have going on. Our first show of the year is going to be Days of the Dead in Atlanta in a week and a half or so. Then in March we will be at the Mad Monster Party here in Charlotte (thats going to be a big set up, since we live in Charlotte, we are bringing a LOT of our life size monsters to display and will be doing live painting and sculpting demos all weekend at it! Should be a blat!). We are taking April off to get cought up on some project and then in May we will be down in Orlando for Spooky Empire's May-hem as well as being set up with a lot of our new animatronics and other goodies at the Halloween Extreme show they are doing in junction with Mayhem this year. Should be a super busy first quarter, but with a lot of cool things!

This is a Rob Zombie's House of 1000 Corpses print I did for the reunion at Days of the Dead in Atlanta...

Then for Mad Monster Part in March, I did a new piece based on The Fly and one based on the original 1954 Godzilla...

Do you like monsters? They're my only weakness...

Mark, I met the man once. He is a true Master Artist. I am not worthy to clean his brushes!!

Dracula sketch I started about six years ago and finally finished tonight.

Pencil sketch of Emperor Palpatine from the same recently unearthed sketchbook.

Oh, man, these two are just outstanding! Hopefully, my mother's health allows me to make it at least one day to Mad Monster Party, this year.

Hey Count - That DRACULA is perfect!  Exactly how he's described in the novel.

Thanks, U.P. That's what I was going for. I used to do these sketches while waiting on oil changes for my car, believe it or don't. Then, AAA Car Care put in computers for their customer's use. That was the end of my sketching days. Literally, I hadn't picked up a pencil in about five years until yesterday. Felt great!

Ya know, I've done some of my best sketches (or doodles that turn into sketches) while sitting & waiting on something, or talking on the phone for long periods of time.  Or even when someone's right there beside me, conversing away!

Yeah, after this next round of DVD reviews that I have to write and turn in by Feb. 8th for VideoScope magazine, I need to get back into the habit of sketching again. I especially need to do some design sketches for my 1/6-scale custom Edward Gorey's Dracula figure, before I even touch any clay. :P
