I thought it might be entertaining to have people post one sentence (allowing at least one person to post between your post so nobody posts two sentences in a row) to build a story about a monster. Let's see how far this one gets....

The heavy fog was just lifting from the autumn ground, when off in the distance a scream cried out......

. . . EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT! "YORKSHIRE SLASHER" STRIKES AGAIN! GET YOUR PAPER!

....Vincent, a distinguished older man quickly approaches the paperboy, handing him a coin and snatching up a paper with a smile on his face.

Oops! Mine was more than one sentence!

The older man casualy walks away from the boy and heads down a bum filled, dark alley, between two older brick buildings.

As Vincent (the older man) steps foot into the dark alley, he looks down at one of the bums who sits up against the wall with glowing red eyes.....

[The Masked Man]

Meanwhile....a mysterious cloaked figure watches the events unfold below his perch on the rooftop high above the alley...

The mysterious cloaked figure claps his hands 3 times, and the bum with the red glowing eyes jumps up and grabs Vincent.......

[Haunted hearse]

very angry at the multiple sentences he had received, only one of which he had not been guilty of.

Without warning, a hearse pulls to the front of the alley where an angry looking English professor exits the hearse while waving his arms in hysterics......

[The Masked Man]

Upon spotting the Professor...the cloaked figure begins to fume with rage and pulls a vile from inside his cloak and hurls it toward the frantic Professor.....

Immediately, Vincent is unable to move, but is still aware of his surroundings.

As Vincent stands motionless, the vial explodes on top of the hysterical English professor's head causing him to catch fire as his flesh melts down to his bones where he then crumbles to dust.

[The Masked Man]

Hearing police whistles and the sounding of runnin Bobbies...the cloaked figure summons his "men" and vanishes and lighting flashes across the sky.....

Vincent snaps out of his frozen state, and watches as the bum with the glowing red eyes escapes up a fire escape ladder towards the cloaked figure.
