I think we all suffer from that affliction, when it comes to this abomination-in-progress.

It's still hard to believe that ANYONE thinks this is a good idea-- then again, these are the same people that think "Mega Shark vs. Some Other Giant CGI Piece o' Crap" is a winner!

The best stuff with Herman Munster was when he was scaring the crap out of people by accident.  People are supposed to be horrified by his visage, then jump over a 10 foot gate or run through a wall.

Jerry O'Connell looking like JERRY O'CONNELL?????  What's the point?

I loved when Herman would go to the doctor and get examined and Paul Lynde would pass out after his tie levitated and glasses cracked.  Where do you fit that in with Jerry O'Connell looking normal?

What MADE the Munsters won't exist.  So.... what's the point?  It's like making the Longest Yard without prisoners or football.

How are they going to pull off classic scenes like this?

I think I've changed my mind, I don't think I'll watch this to see what it's like.

Ya sorry to sounds so angry and negative about this but I am. I find the remake very disrespectful to the Fans and most importantly the actors. I mean this is their legacy we're talking about. I'm hoping they get some fan outcry over this.

No one fired any shots at the SDCC panel, unfortunately.

Looking more and more like an Addams Family rip-off than it does anything to do with the Munsters!?

Its funny you say that, because I was thinking that style wise, it would be wiser to just re-make Addams Family if its going to be like this.

aura of foreboding

At least we know what this will be from the get-go.  They aren't trying to hide the fact that this is an abomination.  With Dark Shadows, they gave us a fantastic looking cast picture and made us believe it was in line with the original up until the trailer was released.  So I will give these folks props for being upfront with the fact that they are decimating a classic.

What is Spot going to be?  A harlequin Great Dane that drools?  I hope it mauls Jerry O'Connell. >:D

It's hard to believe that Adam Sandler will be starring in a film that will have greater appeal to fans of the old Universal Monsters, with "Hotel Transylvania".  Even Burton's "Frankenweenie" will be more appealing to fans of classic horror.  I fail to see the whole point of this.  Why do people insist on remaking things that embarrass them so much, that they need to change them to the point they're no longer recognizable?  This reminds me of the dimwits who remade the Punisher, but refused to include the skull T-shirt, because it was too comic book like.   Landis did a version that was we'll received with "Here comes the Munster", which I actually liked better then "The Munster's Revenge", (1981) which had the original cast.  That film is not quite as bad as the Addams Family Halloween special from the seventies.  Once you take away the make up from the characters, you've removed an iconic element which demonstrates you are unsuitable to handle the material.  Why not just call it something else, and stop trying to sell the fans of a show on something that they can only hate?  If they wanted to do a film about Dracula's daughter marrying a monster her Father created, and having a warewolf together, call it "The Dracula's".  The fact that they won't even use the name "The Munsters" shows they want to distance them selves from the original series.  I say they should just forget the original series exists, and let the fans enjoy the Munsters that already exist.
What ever happened to my Transylvania Twist?

Have they said if the character's names are the same? (Herman Munster, Lily, etc.) Does Herman still work at Gateman, Goodbury, and Graves?
