Thank you very much Creaturerevenge, Charp13, Mark the UP and Scatter for your very kind compliments.

Creature, I'm pleased you've seen the film, I know a lot of folk haven't tried it or fancied having to look at subtitles.

Charp, that means a lot to me when one of my pictures can evoke a smile....sometimes I got tears (surely it wasn't that bad??? LOL!) when I painted pets!

A lot of my art is heavily influenced by contrasts, light and dark...or the Italian term for it, Chiaroscuro. So all my early work is mainly black and white. But I have introduced colour to my work bit by bit.

UP, Mark I hope you are feeling okay, I know you've been seriously ill. And yep, that's my Kongs! I'll pop them at the end of this post.

Scatter, I hope you get a chance to see the film and dig it's creepy style. Not too many films like that around at the moment.

Some recent marker pen and gouache drawings of the big fella!

Man Mark, that Kong on the ESB hits me where I live brother!! Fabulous!!

Thank you! I did this Black Bolt after the THOR piece and am very proud of it. I had the sky 'plain' like Kirby's pencils, but then added the night sky and it really made a difference. I was REALLY tempted to keep it and have it be the first thing I've inked to be framed and hung in my house. I don't know where I would have hung it as my studio has zero free wall space. My wife has been trying to keep me and my 'stuff' restricted to just my studio and the office in this house. And someone has already sent me half of the payment (it wasn't that much, he just needed to split the payment).

Kirby was a giant influence on me and I adore Kirby/Stone stuff! Sinnott was a stronger overall artist and slicker, but Chic Stone gave Kirby such POWER...just a magical team! Love the look of Kirby and Ayers also.

Doug, I love the Kirby Krackle work on the Black Bolt piece! Really brings it to life.

markchro.....You sir are the king of Kong!!!  Good stuff!

Thank you Scatter and Zombiehorror!!!  :)

Doug --  that's a mighty sweet job on the Kirby pieces.  The night sky does wonders for the Black Bolt image.  Well done!

Those Kong piece are BEAUTIFUL!!! The one of him on the Empire State Building is amazing! Beautiful work!!!

This is a last minute piece for May-hem I just finished up and sent off to the print shop...

I really wanted to do a companion Prometheus piece to go with it but... well... the movie isn't out yet! So I don't know what anythign really look like save for those quick shots in the trailers! I guess I'll have to come back to that one at a later date!
Do you like monsters? They're my only weakness...

Hey Mark - Mark here, too!  I take it you're the same chap who did the incredible Kong illustrations Mike told me about?  You should definitely post them.

I agree with UP. I've been fortunate enough to have seen a lot of Mark's work over the past couple of years, and he does some jaw-droppingly gorgeous stuff! I'm really glad he's decided to share his work with the UMA!!!  :D

Thank you creaturerevenge, Illoman and RICKH!

curseofthewerewolf, superb inking on the Black Bolt background! I feel all nostalgic!

creaturerevenge, I love your Alien poster design! That really should have been a limited edition card to go with the DVD/Blu Ray release. I can't wait to see Prometheus...the film and what you come up with!

horror1o1, that just screams to be a T-shirt! And a good choice of colours.

My first go at a mini collage, painted back in April. Ralph Bates and Martine Beswick as Dr. Jekyll & Sister Hyde. Acrylics on watercolour board.
