The Bat People (1974)
Anyway, this is the most sexless honeymoon since Michael Jackson married Lisa Marie Presley.

Nice...keep these AIP reviews coming!

I watched Invasion of the Body Snatchers, the 1978 version, this weekend. I probably had not seen it in 20 years. I was struck by how well it stoked the flames of anxiety and paranoia. Great build-up and delivery. The final scene with Donald Sutherland is still creepy as heck.

"Monster Mash" (1995) starring Bobby (Boris) Pickett.  Always liked the song, and located a VHS copy of the live action film on Ebay.  Not to be confused with an animated film that was made to be direct to video.
What ever happened to my Transylvania Twist?

The last few days I've watched:
Season One of "The Walking Dead" (2010): a must-have for any diehard zombie fan
"The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T" (1952): mildly entertaining Dr. Seuss vehicle with some amusing songs
"Krull" (1983): fun sword & sorcery romp on an alien world. The stopmotion albino spider is worth the price of admission alone.
"The Phantom Planet" (1961): goofy but enjoyable space adventure. This has always been a personal favorite, as I remember watching it on Science Fiction Theater in Indiana back in the mid 70's.

Dr.Teufel Geist

Dark House- poorly acted, poorly looking "ghosts", but a good storyline.

Monster Kid

The Yesterday Machine... bad.
The Spirit ... disjointed.

The Last House on the Left (1972)

"A pair of teenage girls are headed to a rock concert for one's birthday. While trying to score marijuana in the city, the girls are kidnapped by a gang of psychotic convicts."

Still disturbing, this seminal 70s shocker delivers even 40 years later. Very much a snapshot of the times, it's a flick everyone should see once. But probably only once.

7 bananas.
We're all here because we're not all there.

Long live the UMA!

Had a wicked sinus headache this morning and wound up staying home. After a few hours, when I could actually open my eyes, I threw "Dracula" (the original) into the DVD player. In recent years I have sometimes made unkind remarks about this film. I still think it has its flaws (the ending is far too anti-climactic and abrupt), but Bela is really a joy to watch. It's a real shame that we did not get him playing Dracula again while he was still relatively young. He has a real fire here, which is sadly lacking in A&CMF, or Return of the Vampire.

M(1931)..Peter Lorre's disturbing portrayal of a child murderer..
