Monolith

Thanks for the compliments on the werewolf video, I'm really glad to still have that.

I posted this before in response to Charp13's really cute Batman, here's my Batman again...

charp13

Awww man! You've got the American flag behind you Monolith! Now my Kid Batman looks like Bizarro Kid Batman or Evil Imposter Kid Batman!  Hahahaha!!  Seriously, I wonder if we had enough scanners (office equipment not aliens)  we could find hundreds of Kid Batman photos from UMAers and scan them and make a masterpiece! I truly believe that 1 out of 3 kids were Batman at Halloween at some point in their life!  :)

Actually Charp13, I think Bizzarro kid Batman is kind of cooler. What a great character that would be!

Charp13....which arm are you calling freakishly long!? Head knots for you annnnnnnnd Scatter! Think you may be seeing wallpaper and shadow by the one hand.....it's empty. Had to look real close to see the small pumpkin you saw on TV......also looks like a small spook town scene on tv too.

Scatter, I couldn't figure out what would go well with the long arm.....just did the ghost thing to mask my natural good looks!  Ha! If I remember right, I came to my senses before going out Halloween night........the long arm thing was impractical......defeated the objective.......move fast....grab much candy!      Bud

LOL!! Yeah, never forget the Halloween Prime Directive..............GET CANDY!!
That marijuana plant on your TV may explain the costume gone wrong. Ah, the 60s!!

Oh Scatter, how could you! That single, wilted flower was the one momento my sweet, gray haired Mother kept from the funeral of her dear sister. Aunt Audrey passed away at the early age of 34 from acute arthritus of the toes. Mom was often found silently weeping, on her knees in front of the TV and that cherished and revered plant. And now you, with you calous and thoughtless words have crushed such a sweet memory! Excuse me, I must pause as I reflect on my dead Aunt who never existed.......      Bud

Scatter

My profound apologies Bud................so sorry to have added to your grief unnecessarily. Especially since upon closer inspection it's clearly an opium poppy.

Ah... so the long arm was the centerpiece of the entire project.  Wow.  I would have thought it was the Chuck Taylor All-Stars. 8)

Sean, Funny you should mention that! Went into the local Footlocker and found a pair of tennies I liked.......turned out to be Chuck Taylor signatures......I have no idea who Chuck Taylor is, but was amazed that they cost me all of $14.......didn't even know I was in a Footlocker outlet store....

I'm getting the definite impression that you guys are all jealous of my Halloween costume workmanship. Making that look like my real arm wasn't easy!   Bud

I'm jelous of ALL the Halloween photos.  My parents never took such pictures, we posed in the summertime.  The closest costume photo I have is me in Cub Scout uniform.  Guess I just wasn't cute enough.  :o

Post that pic Bill!! This thread isn't exclusively for monster costume photos.  It's for pics of us back in the day ........a chance to peek into the past of our brethren (and sistren) and relive the our own Glory Days in the process !! That outfit would definitely spark some funny stories and fond remembrances since many of us were Scouts as well. Any and all photos from our youths are welcomed.

Bud, I really love the costume.  Creative, homemade costumes by kids are THE best.

BTW, Chuck Taylor was an early 20th century Indiana high school basketball star who wore Converse basketball 'shoes' and ultimately became a salesman/ spokesman for Converse.  They are still classic.  I have a black pair of high tops in my closet... I used to put them on and whip my younger cousins in basketball when they would bother their parents for $150 basketball sneakers 'because they needed them for basketball season at school'.  I told them that I could wear brown paper bags on my feet and beat them and to stop bothering their parents for crazy money because it's NOT the shoes...
