Last week I got to see the original House on Haunted Hill in the theater, with live Rifftrax commentary.

Herr Vogel

House of Frankenstein last week on Svengoolie.

Most recently i watched 'Kick - Ass', good in places but Hit Girl steals the show every time.
Then it was 'WATCHMEN', a surprisingly powerfull film - in the negative collom there was NO bonus material.
Then TCM ran the complete Fritz Lang's 'METROPOLIS', a great movie that stays great.

Rich

House of the Wolfman
Ghost of Frankenstein
Gamera - Defender of the Universe
The Evil Dead
Evil Dead II
Listen to them. Children of the Night. What music they make!

Opera Ghost

Trick R Treat.

Seemed kind of like an anthology or perhaps the "Crash" of Halloween films
"In each of us, two natures are at war--the good and the evil. All our lives the fight goes on between them, and one of them must conquer..."

RedKing

Metropolis on TCM
A Bucket of Blood
Not of This Earth(original version-this is a new favorite 50s sci-fi movie of mine)
Vampire Bat
Dead of Night
Several Castle Films 8mm versions of Unimonster classics
Crazy am I? We'll see if I'm crazy or not!

Did you like it?  I really like it.  I think it is one of the most original horror movies to come out in a long time.
Long live the UMA!

The Creeper

The White Chapel Vampire     A Made for tv I think, it is in a pack of dvds I got at Walmart this Halloween.  It is a Sherlock Holmes movie done a few years ago with the guy who was Max Headrum.  It was a pretty good worth watching I thought.

The Wolfman  (remake)
Long live the UMA!

I did...as a matter of fact, I said to the Mrs that this is a must own. Has a very Tales from the Crypt sort of thing going on too-clad with irony.

Need to watch for that Matt Frewer film "White Chapel Vampire"
"In each of us, two natures are at war--the good and the evil. All our lives the fight goes on between them, and one of them must conquer..."

Memphremagog

Doctor Who: Death To the Daleks(1974)
Star Trek: The Lights Of Zetar(1969)
Doctor Who: The Eleventh Hour(2010)
Sorcerers(1967)
Dracula-Prince Of Darkness(1966)
DARK SHADOWS:

David Collins: "Dead people dont just get up and walk around.."

Sarah Collins: "Sometimes they do."

Watched "The Hunger" (1983) again, it remains a favorite. Excellent score and haunting images.
Watched the restored "Metropolis" Sunday night on TCM.
My music is for Phoenix. Only she can sing it. Anyone else who tries, dies.

Last night was dedicated to 'The Hitch-Hickers Guide To The Galaxy', first all six episodes of the TV Series followed by the Feature Film.

The last few days I've watched:
"Metropolis" 1927: This was my first viewing in about thirty years, and I have to say I really enjoyed the newly restored version. I'm guessing a large number of us must've tuned in Sunday night to see it ;)
"Superman/Batman: Apocalypse" 2010: it was ok, but I wasn't that into it.
"Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within" 2001: this has been buried in my unwatched DVD pile forever, and I finally fished it out last night. I was surprised to find that I really enjoyed it. I can usually take or leave CGI movies, but I was impressed with how well done this was.
"Toy Story 3" 2010: if Pixar has ever done a bad movie, I'm darned if I've ever come across it. Lotso Rulz!
"Mr. Wu" 1927: this is not actually a genre film, but it stars the Man of 1,000 Faces himself, Lon Chaney, so I included it here. I picked up a DVD copy during the recent WB sale, and the picture quality on this film was surprisingly good. I was a little underwhelmed by the modern score, but the film is still quite watchable.

What kind of score was used?
"In each of us, two natures are at war--the good and the evil. All our lives the fight goes on between them, and one of them must conquer..."
