Nope, growing up with my dad who was a private contractor, then retiring to a small masonry business...the last thing I want to watch on TV are people telling me how to build a house....or anything else!

BTW....you might have heard about Fires in the Antelope Valley/Palmdale of Southern California. Although I've not been affected, nor do I expect to be, as they are a few miles as the crow flies from our house, I do have co-workers and friends who are on fire watch. There have been evacuations, and loss of structures, but no reported loss of life as of yet.

If only. The heat makes me miserable. In this heat the only way to cool down is by laying in an ice cold bath, at least in winter you can put on extra layers to keep warm. I long for winter with its early nights and the crunch of frost under your feet and the wind blowing the leaves from the trees. And you get Christmas and Halloween (and Bonfire Night depending on where you are)
