I used to have a carded Iron Man!  Not the very same one in this auction.  Mine didn't have that price sticker, and my card was a little rougher, though still nice.  I traded mine "back in the day" to Mark Huckabone for a boxed Remco Phantom and some other stuff.  At the time, it was a good trade.  This was when Remco Phantoms were going for $1,000 loose, and nobody but Mark cared about a carded Iron Man.  Now, of course, I'm kicking myself!  Somewhere, I have a photo of me holding my carded Iron Man, but I've dug around and haven't been able to find it.

I understand what you are saying about digging around and not being able to find things.  I recently realized if I am about halfway through life, I need to start getting rid of all my stuff at the same rate I accumulated it in order to not leave a huge mess to clean up.  Also, all the stuff I have been looking for should turn up in the process.

I know who bought it. It wasn't anyone famous.

I'm willing to bet it was Mego Museum member Dumbldor.

And as far as this being an investment.  On;y a VERY smal handful of people with sentimental value for Megos would even pay close to this much.   There is no way in 20 yrs this thing holds that kind of value IMO.
Morning, noon, or night, Anytime . . . . the count may strike. If you're caught you have to linger, Cause Dracula may bite your finger!

Nope, not him.  But it is the same guy that has a couple carded AHI Creatures.

I'd like to be first on the list to see what you are selling please!  ;) I do understand what you mean though. You see it all the time with inheritors of estates etc. People are left with many objects once the owners and lovers of that stuff pass from life. I'll enjoy it all while I can.  ;D

I don't know how many of you follow Morphey or HEritage auctions but the prices they get for toys makes Ebay prices look lame.

Sometimes, but I've seen stuff go cheaper there than it usually does on eBay too.  They do get attention from top collectors that a lone eBay auction might not draw.
