Do you shop for things on E-bay?  If so what are your favorite things to Haunt for?  It helps to know so we aren't bidding against each other.

I look for pictures from my favourite classic films.  Mostly, I'm into "head shot" portraits of classic character stars in regular make up.  I then pair them with one or two shots from a well known role.  For example, I have a portrait of Boris Karloff with ones of the Monster, the Mummy and Ardath Bey.  Another set up is of the two Chaneys...one with the Phantom and the other with the Wolfman.

NOW, if only I could find a plain studio portrait of George Zucco!

Good to know.  If I run across any of that stuff I will let you folks know.  I will keep an eye out for you both.  I am always on the hunt for knives and some antiques.  I just picked up in two seperate auctions Jack the Ripper knives, antiques.  Both are different styles.  I usually hunt for knives and movies type props.  Not necessarily the actual prop used in the film.  Sellers always want way too much for them and think they are worth more than they are.  I look for antique period pieces that are like ones used in films.  That way I get originals but save a lot of money in the long run.  I also just picked up a reproduction of the Bowie knife used in the John Wayne Alamo film.  This is a pretty good repro with only a few minor mistakes but not too bad.  Now I am looking for antique candle lantern flashlight devices.  There were two used in the film The Ghost and the Darkness with Val Kilmer and Michael Douglas.  These were pretty cool.  You lit a candle and there was a reflector on back with a lense type glass face.  Very handy.  I have seen a number of railroad or mine type lights like this but not ones made for candles.  It irritates me that the ones with batteries are never tested by the sellers.  What idiots.  You can get a lot more for something that actually works and takes minimal effort to test it.  Unless that is the seller already tested it and it does not work in which case they are lying to cover themselves for the item not working.  Always beware, there can be some very unscrupulous sellers on there.

Thanks for sharing and I will keep my eyes peeled for you.

Mostly FMs. I need about 17 issues to finish the Warren/FJA run. I have from 200-210 of the Ferry/FJA run, which is where I've chosen to stop. Other than that, I don't do much eBaying anymore because I've been fortunate enough to find all of my other Holy Grails... except I still want a Wolf Man cane.

I look for anything Horror, Sci-Fi Godzilla, Mego or KISS related. Mostly I try
to locate the best deals on eBAY. But, it's always a hit and a miss. For the most
part my favorite finds are, Horror comics, rare comics, and the older the better.
D.C., DELL, E.C., MAD, or MARVEL. Tomb of Dracula is currently my fave......I also
like to hunt for A.H.I., Lincoln International, or Mego MAD monsters figures, in all sorts
of variations. KISS related stuff, I like vintage memorabilia. Sometimes eBAY will have
cool KISS items. KISS vintage items are the most difficult to find......AMT's Chevy model KISS
van for instance. I can never find it complete, and the model van is always overpriced.
Hit and miss........

Every so often I look for vintage Collegeville and Ben Cooper monster masks and occasional costumes if the costume part is REALLY cool at an easy price. It gets kinda tough though cuz I don't do paypal.

In 7 years of being signed up with ebay, I've only bought 10 things. I bought some loose monsters 7 years ago, and a beautiful 12" Bride a few years ago. I look at a lot of stuff, but the Bride is my favorite monster. I also have bought some Haunted Mansion stuff and a metal clarinet for my daughter.

Hey Guys, I'm glad Wolfman brought this up. I'm a newbie to the forum and haven'tquite gotten a feel for what we might be able to do for one another. I posted previously in this thread that I was watching ebay mostly sideshow figures but, I have begun a collection of the Franklin MInt UM knives also. I need Bride, Creature and Mummy to complete the collection. Anyone have any cheap sources? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanx DrZeus

I'll search for any cool Frankenstein items I don't have.  Sideshow and Marx figures, mugs, pictures/artwork, magazines...all Universal related.

I've also had good luck getting some DVD's I want too.

I've been buying/selling on eBay for going on 12 years now . . . pretty much my first stop for any swag I'm looking to purchase but a great outlet for selling my various painting, sculptures, etc.

Hey Charp.
What "Bride" are you referring to that you like so much? IS it sideshow?
Articulated or no?
I might look into one too
