Anyone else still singing a certain favorite TV theme song even decades later?? I've got a BUNCH of them still floating happily in the nearly limitless void between my ears. Here's just one. Even have it on my iPod.

Sammy Davis jr. - Baretta's theme (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HNWhVXcjV8#)
Personally, as a former et player, the theme song that goes through my mind is the theme from "The Long Ranger"! "Return with me now to those thrilling days of Yesterday!" And then starts the Classical movement form "The William Tell" Overture! thrhrt
Over all, my favorite is the Munsters theme.
As far as themes with lyricks, Gilligan's Island ( sometimes sing this in the shower).
Mike Post (with or without Pete Carpenter) wrote some of the best theme songs
Theme from HILL STREET BLUES (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puc0_MsqRZA#ws)

When I was about 7, we were vacationing in Rhode Island. While I was showering in the cabin I was singing the theme to The Banana Splits so loud that my parents and the other adults outside (some complete strangers) heard me.
Well, my mom sneaked in to see what I was doing, and thought it was so funny that she brought my dad and all these STRANGERS into the bathroom to hear me. When I found out I was MORTIFIED. ;D I think I stayed in the cabin for the rest of the trip, only venturing out after I was sure the coast was clear of giggling strangers LOL!!

Yes, as Monsterphile already stated, And it was directed by Richard Donner, although I didn't know that when I was a kid watching it.
Scatter--- That's quite a mortifying tale about innocently humming the Banana Splits theme. And there's some old Underdog comics and coloring books and drinking glasses and Daikin made a nice Underdog figure and there's other vintage toys and things if you're looking to collect some Underdog stuff. Also a few years back they made some nice plastic figures of him and sweet Polly and Riff Raff and Simon Bar Sinister.

Here are the lyrics for Underdog!! -
Not used with permission. Only for information and not for resale or monetary gain!
"There's no need to fear, Underdog is here.
When criminals in this world appear,
And break the laws that they should fear,
And frighten all who see or hear,
The cry goes up both far and near for
Underdog,
Underdog,
Underdog,
Underdog.
Speed of lightning, roar of thunder,
Fighting all who rob or plunder
Underdog, Underdog.
When in this world the headlines read
Of those who's hearts are filled with greed
And rob and steal from those in need.
To right this wrong with blinding speed goes
Underdog,
Underdog,
Underdog,
Underdog.
Speed of lightning, roar of thunder,
Fighting all who rob or plunder
Underdog, Underdog."

OK... a few things about Mannix. I loved Mannix so much that I wanted MY name to be Mike Connors. Looking at the opening credits, the theme song is ridiculous. That is 'dusting the crystal' music-----NOT 'judo chopping a helicopter music'.... Whatever they were PAYING Mannix------it wasn't enough. He's diving off of bridges, riding in coal mine cars, Indian leg-wrestling the Chupacabra.... it's obscene....and then, after dueling evil all day with nary a scratch, he mishandles hot toast and hurts himself (seriously, look at the opening again).

Very cool, Mono.... I wish I had seen it.

I used to watch Tarzan a lot. I just realized that the quick shot of the elephant looks like an Asian elephant. Either that or they clipped an African elephant's ears like a Doberman!
Rob
It probably is an Asian elephant, they are much easier to train and probably easier to get footage of.

here are the words to star trek....

Umm, I hate to correct you but I think you need to watch the last two episodes of the series again (it was a two parter). Fred Johnson (aka the one armed man) was the killer of Kimble's wife. They were facing off on the top of a tower and Johnson says something like "Yeah, I killed your wife and now I'm going to kill you." At that point lieutenant Gerard shoots him. Gerard then takes Kimble into custody and Kimble is cleared of the murder. Like I said, I'm a pretty big fan of the show. :)

Flipper!! The first TV show I ever watched "IN COLOR"!!! The day we got our first color tv, my sisters and I were wanting to go to the movies. My father (Pop) said to us; "Do you want to go to the Movies or do you want a color Television?"
Of course we decided to go for the more permant color TV! We were nervous however when Pop told the sales man, "Can you have it delievered by the time Flipper is on?" This was back in the day that service was real!! The TV was there and set up in time to watch FLIPPER!!!

Yeah, that's very true Flower. I think that the only regulars left from the original series are
Al Molinaro & Penny Marshall.
*I loved Myrna Turner.
Elinor Donahue, The Pigeon Sisters, Janice Hansen/Gloria Unger, Larry Gelman/Vinnie .. are still alive too.
