PALMER MONSTERS - COLOR VARIATIONS

The 3" Palmer Plastics monsters normally come in Blue, Green, Red and Yellow. The Blue Palmers are a lot scarcer than the other colors.

These standard 4 colors have a rather narrow range of color variations. Usually it is a matter of how dark or faded a color looks. The Blue's also can tend towards a light purple color.

There is a White version of the 3" monsters that is very rare. I have also seen a picture of a small, flat Palmer Frankenstein in White - so I assume other small monsters must exist in White.

What I want to know is, how scarce is THIS color???

Andy has one or two in that mustard color. He has several that are oddball colors/plastics that are different from others. My theory from the plastic and colors, etc. is that they were put out much later, like into the mid-70's, in a short run. They may have been made by someone who bought the molds. I have nothing other than gut feel to base that on. As far as rarity, they don't show up much at all.

I have had those weird color Palmers in the bag with header (I used to sell them in Toy Shop), repacks from a different company than Palmer(in Wisconsin, I think). I only have one or two left now. They came with a dart gun and darts included. I believe they were 60s , but mid-to-later 60s. The cards had very primitive 'kid' graphics on them.

Do you have any pictures of colors other than the normally found four?

I never took pics (well, since maybe 198-something- didn't save, and the bagged ones I still have are packed God-knows-where, unfortunately). I remember the blue and mustard vividly, and that the gun looked like a German Luger. The header was red/blue on white paper. I think.

Andy has a white one, mustard, and a red and blue that are different from the normal red and blue. Interestingly, his red Kong with the color variation has a Fay Wray.

I went though a BUNCH of Palmers putting this set together. Only ever saw one of those weird color Palmers listed when I was looking for them hard, every day, for a couple years.

These bring back so many memories! I remember my brother and I played for hours in the backyard with these guys!
Have these things been reissued? Forgive ignorance I just haven't seen these since I was a kid.

Sure, I appreciate it. Saves me from taking another pic! I only have the white cyclops and the tan wolfman. They are the only ones I have ever come across.

Here are a few pictures of some White palmers.

This is the only SMALL White palmer, I Have ever seen. I let this one get away in an auction I was bidding on for an embarrassingly low price before I knew how easy it would have been to make a profit by re-selling the large ones.

heres a few small white Palmers from my collection. And the rest of My palmer collection, I pick em up whenever i can find em cheap. (which doesnt happen often enough)

Oh and notice my dracula pop top has no head, anybody got an extra one for sale , any pop top head will work for me if no ones got a drac.
