     I know she wasn't a name like many of the others in here, but I thought she should be remembered....

At 106 years old, she was not just "the last Ziegfeld Girl", she was the last remaining exemplar of an entire phase of American show biz that is no more.  And to think that we can see her dancing, at 101, on YouTube!  We live in a remarkable age--but it is emptier now, dimmed by the loss of one more small shining light.  Rest in peace, Doris--what a sweetheart you were!
