HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY TO EVERYONE HERE IN THE UNIVERSAL MONSTER ARMY from that ol' leprechaun, THE UNKNOWN PRIMATE!

" Perhaps he dimly wonders why, there is no other such as I. "

Long live the UMA!

I have a couple pints of Guiness chilling in the fridge when I get home.
"For one who has lived but a single lifetime, you are a wise man ...Van Helsing."
"I shall awaken memories of love and crime and death..."

To me, St Patrick's Day is bittersweet. In 1956 it's the day we lost Fred Allen, one of my favorite comedians. So if you drink today, drink a toast to Fred!!

Some of his quotes:

A committee is a group of the unprepared, appointed by the unwilling to do the unnecessary

An actor's popularity is fleeting. His success has the life expectancy of a small boy who is about to look into a gas tank with a lighted match.

Hanging is too good for a man who makes puns; he should be drawn and quoted.

I don't have to look up my family tree, because I know that I'm the sap

I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me.

I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.

Life, in my estimation, is a biological misadventure that we terminate on the shoulders of six strange men whose only objective is to make a hole in one with you.

Television is the triumph of machine over people.

The first time I sang in the church choir; two hundred people changed their religion.

What's on your mind, if you will allow the overstatement?

Thanks!
Mike

Alas, though I have a smidge of Irish blood, it's one of my most hated NYC days -

- mainly, it's an excuse for out-of-town High Schoolers to come and barf on our streets!

Frank McCourt also hated St Patrick's Day. I have Irish on both side of my parents (my mother's maiden name was McCuddin), which explains my life long infatuation with Ireland.

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all!    *** Fester*** I  have never heard anyone else sing that song except The Dropkick Murphys! I knew it was probably an old song, but I don't get out much! I really enjoyed that version, it was a lot easier to sing along with. Thank you :)

I don't have any Irish blood just red blood.

90% Irish. My GGPs came from County Cork Ireland in the 1850s. I'm not much into this day since it is a mostly Catholic day and I am not christian but I had a "few wee shots" of Bushmills 1608 Irish Whiskey and a couple brews. Still miss my moms corned beef dinner. She passed on 5 years ago but St. Pattys at her house was a glutfest. >:D
