Where is the Gallery?  I can't find it.

If you mean our gallery, the link is now called "Media".

Thanks Mike.  This is still posted on our home page though.  That's why I was looking for the Gallery.

Terry,

Go to your flickr account and bring up the picture that you want to use and right click on it.  This will give you the option to select a size of the photo to display (I usually choose medium as large is just to large).  When the appropriate size photo comes up, right click on it again and this will give you a pop-up menu and the bottom option is Properties; select that.  Then you'll get a pop-up window for Properties.  Highlight and copy the Address (URL) that's roughly in the middle of that window.  In the window for your post, click on the Insert Image button (Bottom row, all the eay to the left).  Paste the address that you copied in between the 2 IMG sets.  If you ever see the 'at" symbol in the address  line, something's wrong.

For example, the address for my photos looks like this: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2760/4256454507_be79ce9e32_z.jpg?zz=1

In between the IMG sets, we see this:

Give it a shot.

By the way, that white spot in the back of my skull was my brain bleed from an AVM (arterial venous malformation) in December of 2009.

I was wondering how our status is figured...i.e...I am currently a new recruit...will this change after I've been here so many months or how does that work? I'm fine with my ranking I was just wondering....

It's based on your number of posts.

New Recruit              0-49
Private First Class    50-99
Specialist                100-249
Corporal                   250-499
Sergeant              500 +

There are no added benefits from having a higher status, it's actually a default setting in the software that we put titles in for.  Most forums have something like this, but it can be disabled.  I believe the thought behind it is that the more posts you make, the higher status because your "reputation capital" is built in the community, by posting and letting people know more about you and who you are.  There are obvious flaws in that notion, someone who only posts in game threads is not necessarily telling anyone much about themselves, but there's really no way to accurately reflect that on a global (in the UMA sense) scale.  You're almost a Specialist!

If it's a post in a thread, you can edit it for the 1st 24 hours by clicking on Modify.  After that, you need to have a mod do it.

Something rather silly, actually...but I wasn't truly thinking of a great user name the day I signed up for the forum. Any way to change my user name? Thx in advance!
