Music with a spooky or Halloweenish feel to it, what would you like to hear more of? 20's-40's swing, 50's/60's pop-surf? or  modern horror based music like Rob Zombie/ Misfits...

How about Nightmarish Classical...

Yeah.  I'll second that.  I used to be able to recall classical movements better, but there was a 'haunted house' called the Brigantine Castle in NJ and they had commercials for the amusement pier on TV.  The music they used was creepy pipe-organ stuff... and that was awesome.  I'm sure it's a famous piece of music----but I can't reacll the name or composer.

Also, from the Disney film 'Fantasia'.... 'Night on Bald Mountain' is a really cool piece.

Another nod to classical/symphonic, surf guitar a close 2nd.

Depends on my mood. If I want atmosphere Nox Arcana is good. Nasty vampires/zombies/demons and such I like Sympho-Black metal. For a fun 50s B movie feel I go with Surf Punk with plenty of samples from movies.

The Nekromantix make me smile with lyrics like,"where do monsters go, when their not on the filmset?", also Zombie Ghost Train

I love late 50s-early 60s horror/monster themed pop and rock 'n roll that came out in the wake of the monster revival.

Have you ever been driving alone at night with your ipod on shuffle coming out of your car speakers, and Ave Satani comes on and scares the bejeepers out of you? I always feel like something horrible is about to happen, like a lightning rod through my car or something......awesome.

From a recommendation here I checked out Gorgeous Frankenstein on Youtube. Great music but when the vocals kicked in I was like WTF? I hate bands that have cool music and have lameass who hell is that Elvis on pills type vocals.
