Just when you think things cann't get any worse they do! I live in Penna right outside of Phila. We had a really bad wind storm with wind gust up to 72 mph.Well the neighbor to the side of my house has or I should say had a large walnut tree that blew down right on to my house!
To make matters worse it crashed to to my upstairs den where I keep all my stuff!
A lot of my GI Joe stuff is destroyed and I don't no all what else is at this time.
The fire company has put a large blue tarp over the roof and I'm hopeing that my neighbors insurence will cover the repairs to the house.I guess the old saying is true? If it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all!

Well we are now having a wonderful ice storm and its all we can do to keep the tarp over the hole in the roof and the crashed in wall! They did manage to cut the tree out but now I find out that the guy living in the house where the tree came down from only rents! Not only that but he's having a hard time trying to contact the actual owner.I know if I report this to my homeowners they either up my rates or drop me altogether!
Man I just don't what to do? To really top things off a few monster figures I had on a shelf are now in many small pieces!
Anybody have a gun with a spare bullet?????

Now now. Don't shoot your neighbor. Just bury him alive in a barren field. It's less messy & there are no weapons involved. No weapon = no fingerprints  ;)

Tom,

It all seems bad, but you WILL get through it.  I'm sure many of us have been through bad times to varying degrees, and no matter how bad it seems now, there is so much to look forward to.  You've only just discovered the UMA, right?  Just wait until you've gotten to spend more time "here" because you'll get ot be part of a growing phenomenon.  Besides all this, possessions are just material items.  Your family and firends are what really count.  Hang in there.

This, too, shall pass.

Tom, if you can't take comfort anywhere else, then i say resort to old wives tales...they say trouble comes in threes. Let's add things up: FIRST; you were injured and put on disability, SECOND;you had that seizure, THIRD; a tree fell on your house. Now as BAD as that all is, you SHOULD now, technically be out of the woods as far as bad luck goes. The ice storm will pass, the owners of the property next to you DO EXIST, WILL be found and even if its a battle, they SHOULD be held accountable if that tree was in their yard.  You probably won't get credited for the lost collectibles, BUT people are in the process of sending you cool stuff that should at least ease the burden somewhat. You are obviously being tested here, for some reason. Just close the door to that damaged room and let your insurance companies duke it out. That's what you PAY them for. That being said, the DVD i tried burning for you earlier was a success the second time and i will be getting  your package together very soon....hang in there.

Don't give up hope. They say that it's always darkest before the dawn, right? Well you should look forward to a pretty bright year. :)
Everything's gonna be alright, just you wait & see. ;D

All you guys are right.I do have a lot to be thankful for.My wife of nearly 26 yrs who puts up with me no matter what.I'm very lucky to have her cause when my first marrage ended I thought it was the end of the world.I also have great kids, even through I don't see them much because their spread out all over the USA I know they love me. Then theres all you great people. No where since I've been on the web have I ever been made to feel more welcome! I thank each and every one of you for that.
I do how ever have a question and feel really stupid about asking it.Who is Coffin Joe? Honestly I've never heard of him and I've watched a lot of monster movies.Sorry for being so stupid in this matter.

You're not being stupid. Asking questions is how we grow! Coffin Joe is a creation of Brazilian filmmaker José Mojica Marins.

Zé Do Caixão (aka Coffin Joe) is a sadistic mortician whose ultimate goal in life is finding the perfect women to give him a son. Not only will this son give Zé immortality through the continuity of blood, but his son will be the savior of the world by rescuing humans from their own ignorance, superstitions, & inferiority! 8)

Pretty deep. I got turned on to these movies back in October of '06 due to a commercial I saw on IFC. It was a commercial for "This Night I'll Possess Your Corpse". That was the first time I saw Zé Do Caixão & I've been a fan ever since! ;D I still fairly new to the CJ phenomenon!

I love these movies. Order the Coffin Joe Trilogy at Amazon (dot) com! Also, check out "the Strange World Of Coffin Joe" as well.

Oh well folks a 4th bad thind just happened so, so much for things happening in 3's.My kitchen ceiling just came down due to the rain! The rain got in because the tarp kept partially blowing off the roof and side wall of the den(My so called monster room) and the water soaked through!
The crash broke the glass in the china cabinet and broke some stuff my wife and I had in there.
Man is this stroke of bad luck ever going to end???? I need a real pick-me up from somewhere
before I wind up in a padded freaken room :o :o!!!!!!

Inconvenient for sure, but perhaps better it came down now, the insurance can take it into account too and have it repaired.  Better than not coming down and growing black mold due to moisture.  I know it can be hard to be optimistic, and thing look pretty bleak, but look at it this way, you're still better off than thousands of hurricane Catrina survivors.

Talk about counting your blessings! This is just a test you're going through. Just keep pressing on. Things will get better for you. The year just began, I mean, it's only February. When the Spring comes, everything will be groovy. I'm praying for you.
