Today is a sad day for MUNSTER fans. Today, Feb.3 2006 we lost a funny actor, everyone's favorite Dracula Grandpa. Al Lewis passed away on this day.
Even a man who is pure in heart, and says his prayers by night, may become a wolf, when the wolfbane blooms, and the moon is full and bright, AAHHOOoooo

How he will be missed!  I first saw Al Lewis and Fred Gwynne  in CAR 54, WHERE ARE YOU? and was thrilled when THE MUNSTERS came out.  They will be forever cherished for returning the sense of whimsy to our monsters.  I loved that show.

Al Lewis "Grandpa Munster" and Fred Gwynne were such a funny t.v. comedy
team. That's what made The Munsters special to me.
"They come from the bowels of hell; a transformed race of walking dead. Zombies, guided by a master plan for complete domination of the Earth."

Rest in Peace Al.  You will be sorely missed.
Long live the UMA!
