Amazon says Sept. 28, for $17.99. I hope it actually does come out then and isn't delayed. be nice to have before Halloween.

SPOILER ALERT*********************My enthusiasm for this has been tempered after reading that the three big monsters only show up for the last ten minutes of the movie. WTF? How can you make an homage to the great old Universal monster rallys and then only give us ten minutes of monster action?

OG, I was thinking of it more as a warning than a spoiler! But I have added an alert to the post now, so no one will miss out on the incredible disappointment I'm sure they'll feel once they actually buy the movie and discover this info for themselves!  ;)

Was hoping that the smiley would soften any percieved harshness which was not intended. Just informational.

It's just that everyone here has been waiting for this DVD for better than a year, and I think altho there is eager anticipation, there are realistic expectations by most.

No worries, I took it in the spirit intended. I was just rather shocked to read that information on another message board. I certainly don't recall reading anyone here commenting on it, so I felt it was worth being noted. It's like when you think you're buying one thing and end up with something different; personally that really bothers me. From the trailer it certainly looks like we are getting one type of movie, but after reading that info, it sounds like what we actually get is quite different.

I just ordered this movie from Bestbuy.com ($14.99 + Shipping) and it will be delivered between 09/28 - 10/05.  I'll give a review after I have a chance to watch it.  My review may be a little skewed, however since I've been anticipating this movie for quite some time and can hardly wait to see a "Chaney" in a new movie.  Honestly, I don't care whether it's good or bad, I'm just happy to see a new movie of this genre being made.

I was just checking, there are sights that claim to be selling the DVDs now (presumably they are taking pre-orders).

The movie looks good from the trailer.

On Friday, I was invited to an invent here in the Hollywood area, celebrating the release of the film tomorrow night! Looking forward to it--needless to say, so hopefully I can snag one there!
