Thanks for the release time update-now i'll stop searching the net for info that doesn't exist. At least for a while.
And also thanks for the heads up about the film itself.
I want it to be better than i know that it will be.
There's been no word from anyone who actually saw it and all there was to go on was that trailer and the publicity pics and poster. Though the pics and poster looked promising the fact that the trailer seemed more concerned with the guests being invited to the castle and having to meet some challenge -with no mention of how our beloved monsters fit into the mix-left me suspicious of a satisfiying monsterfest.
The one thing i did hear as that Ron wasn't the actor that his grandfather was and that was disappointing.
Even still - an actual Chaney in a monster film does warm the monsterkid heart at least a bit.

In the sequel, I hope they add The Mummy.  Imhotep-- or Kharis, not really sure-- was supposed to be in House of Frankenstein but the budget was too low for the special effects.

I doubt seriously there will be a sequel by this filmmaker. According to Ron Chaney, sets were all destroyed, and there does not seem to be any further discussions on the topic.

I haven't heard of this before.  Looks like it'll be fun.  They should rerun this thing to death on SYFY and maybe it'll lead to more projects of its kind.  Hey SYFY no more stupid creature features.

I think it would have been a different movie with a bigger budget and had the monsters been given more screen time.

If you go back and watch the classic monster rallies, they don't give the monsters that much screen time. Larry is Larry more then he is the Wolf Man, Dracula gets destroyed in the first 15 minutes of House of Frankenstein, and the Monster does not do anything until the last 10 minutes. These movies were more character and story drivin.
