With all the other non-monster, cool collectibles that folks buy here, thought it would be nice to see the "finds" from time to time.

I collect a lot of things, some of them related to Natural History studies--recently got some interesting taxidermy specimens.  My apologies for the glare on the glass domes.  The first two are old display mounts from a defunct museum:
From Czech Republic:

Another from the Czech Rep.:

Robert, I do like a shot of taxidermy from time to time, and those birds are swell. I keep telling myself one of these days I going to buy one of those victorian-era 'birds' taxidermy window box displays.

Absolute coolness, gentlemen!  Thanks for the posts.

PS Robert, see PM.

lol  Bob, every once in a while I stumble across one of those bird cabinets on Ebay or somewhere, and the temptation is soooooo strong.  If I got rid of the fridge or the stove, maybe I could fit it in the kitchen...hmmmmm.  Anyhow, you are a man of rare taste, my friend!  I

Those really turned out nicely.  Your museum is becoming more museum-y all the time.

I don't know if this is quite the same subject but I have some iced tea glasses that my mom got for her wedding shower.  They are about 55 years old.  I've always loved the glasses as a child and we never ever used them.  I'd like to display them so I'm going to make a display on our dining room table to show them off.  I have a gift card from Target and I bought some white plates for the arrangement.  I've done other table arrangements on the DR table and now nobody puts junk on it.

I'm not into taxidermy but I can see why you like these beautiful pieces.  You get three thumbs up from me on that one because my family is from Czechoslovakia which is now th Czech Republic.

I don't ever think I've heard of the "The Triumph of Man".  It must be very interesting because it's from 1964 and should show how people of that generation think about the world to come.  Then compare it to the way things are.

Always wanted these, but never got them, then Wonder Woman just got to be very pricey.

Never really gave it much thought!

Just bought a new toilet for my bathroom remodel . . . not sure if it's worthy of having a photo posted but it was as expensive as hell.

If it's a fancy toilet, I would post a picture.
