I only really liked the first one, but Michael is my wife Karen's favorite monster so we have every one on DVD.

Have ya seen the remake?
Michael is much more brutal and I liked the guy who portrayed him,as for the remake itself, it's not as good as the original,
But I still voted for the remake, due to I like the New Michael.

Really enjoyed the remake, but I have to go with the original.

Creature Features

Carpenter's remains the best, imo.  The second one is good as well. The third? Thought it was entertaining, sure.

As far as the subsequent films in the original series? Meh. Thought they were pretty much redundant.

I have really come to enjoy Rob Zombie's remake though. Can't wait for the sequel.

The remake was fantastic, but I still like the original first movie best.

The original Halloween.

I always consider the trilogy 1, 2 and H2O. Season of the Witch is also in my collection (and I wished they went that route instead of 4,5,6)

I also enjoyed the remake, looking forward to part 2 as well.

25 years of Terror 2 disc set is also a must have for Halloween fans. This is the only slasher franchise I really got into with Freddy a distant second.

Why even bother to reply then >:(

Because that is a vote. I like a couple of them but IMO the best is Rob Zombies version slightly ahead of the original. Gets more into the head of Michael and where he's comin from.

No that is not a vote, it's not one of the ballots.

The Creeper

The first two are my favorites!  I like watching them back to back.  It is then like watching one long movie.  Michael Myers has always been my favorite and my Dad's.  I voted for the original.  I do like Rob Zombie's version also and looking forward to the new one!
Long live the UMA!

aura of foreboding

Hmmm...  This is tough.  I like 1 and 2, but I also like 4.  H20 is decent too, but not nearly as good as the first two.

I did not enjoy the remake.  For me, it removed all of the mystique from Michael's character.  It explained away too much.  I preferred to think of Michael as the pure embodiment of evil, not as a human being.  The remake focussed too much on his human side.  I also missed Donald Pleasence and Jamie Lee Curtis.

Type3Toys

I really like the original. I am not  a fan of slasher type movies, but this movie was scary. It was done old school, where the viewer had to connect to dots. Not every part was shown like they do today, leaving nothing to the imagination.
