We could have an entire thread on Cary Grant/Irene Dunne movies -- not to mention William Powell/Myrna Loy movies.  Now how to directly relate them to Universal Monsters . . . hmm. ???

My Favorite Wife is one of their best ever!
That courtroom sequence towards the end is brilliant! ;D
The remake, Move Over, Darling, AKA Something's Got to Give with James Garner and Doris Day is a pale copy.  :-\

I saw Penny Seranade many years ago.  It was good, and Grant deserved his Oscar nomination (He lost to Gary Cooper in Sargent York BTW)  But it didn't appeal to me--pretty melodramatic.  I'll check it out again sometime soon.

The last Non-etc movie I watched?  The Big Store  Whats not to like? Tony Martin and the Marx Brothers!  Virginia O'Brien's version of "Rock-a-bye Baby" is so wonderfully demented!

Just try to forget it and move on with your life.
I know it will be hard. ::)

It could have been worse.
It could have been The Black Bird
George Segal made some real stinkers in the 70's.

I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me.
