general gruesome

It's a Wonderful Life (1946) - one of my favorite christmas movies - Jimmy Stewart is awesome
Miracle on 34th Street (1947)
A Christmas Story (1983)
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989)
Ernest Saves Christmas (1988)
Bad Santa (2003)
Deck the Halls (2006)
Elf (2003)
Holiday Inn (1942)
White Christmas (1954)
The Polar Express (2004)
Twas the Night (2001)

all these were watched in a span of around two-to-three weeks or so, starting at around the 4th of December
I really like the 1940s christmas movies

I also watched alot of christmas themed episodes of tv shows like Johnny Bravo, Happy Days, Family Ties, etc
Some films I seen are not listed because I watched so many it's difficult to remember them all

I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me.

Opera Ghost

Last two movies I watched were

Scrooge/ Christmas Carol with Sir Seymour Hicks, and the Reginald Owen. Traditional Christmas Eve viewing as "Santa" finishes up deliveries whilst sipping (ok gulping) egg nog
"In each of us, two natures are at war--the good and the evil. All our lives the fight goes on between them, and one of them must conquer..."

Moonshadow

"The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" (2011) -  A disgraced journalist tries to solve a murder mystery, with the help of an anti-social female hacker. The female character was quite interesting, as she has a troubled past.  The journalist, played by Daniel Craig, is just sort of there. There are some extremely brutal, hard to watch scenes so this is not for those who can't handle violence, particularly of a sexual nature. My husband and I had figured out the identity of the killer fairly early on but watching the main characters try to do so was still entertaining. It does feel overlong to me and the last part of the film seems unnecessary. But I'd give it a solid B.

Five Stooges shorts (all Curleys), on the big screen in a full theater--lots of fun!
