Hey Mars, This Is England is a pretty cool flick.  Saw it about a year ago.

The last thing I watched was some Barney dvd with my granddaughter.  A full length MOVIE!

'This is England' was filmed in my town. (Says a lot about the state of my town!) The young kid in the film, Tommy Turgoose, is a local lad who still lives here when he's not acting. Director Shane Meadows asked him if he would be an extra in the film but cast him as the lead after Tommy demanded a tenner (£10) to appear in the film, and his cheekiness was just what Meadows was looking for.

Great movie! Sad too! it's a shame how people change, or go the wrong direction.
I had a lot of friends who did the same thing during my Punk rock years.
They were the wrong type of skinheads. It's all about United in a positive way. :D

Yep, a lot of the series was filmed here too. My favourite Shane Meadows movie though is 'Dead Man's Shoes,' such a well-observed film with some great acting.

That is cool LLK!  The series (which I didn't know about) looks cool as well.
