Awesome pictures...

okay maybe it's me, but in the last picture of BK with Abbott and Costello in the hallway, dose anyone else think BK resembles Bruce Willis..???  For a split second he looks like Bruce with a mustache...:)

Actually, Brian Kallenberg is a fake name that Bruce Willis uses. He didn't want anyone at the Bash to know who he really was! :D

Here's a strange but true fact--the late Michael Jackson attended the first Monster Bash, although in disguise as Graf Orlock from "Nosferatu." But his bodyguard was identified!

Elizabeth,

I never did get to take your picture, although just your head (not drunk or severed) is visible in the bottom of one of the group pictures in the display room.  Better yet, I should have had someone take a picture next to you.  Regardless, it was such a pleasure spending time together.  Elizabeth was the definition of dedication, a she drove overnight Thursday to get to Butler on Friday and then helped get the display room straightened out.  I wish I had that kind of energy.

Rob

I too really enjoyed the opportunity to meet you in person and spend some time together, Rob.  You have my permission to photoshop us into a pic together-- but better yet please aim for WonderFest next year, and we will get to see each other again and have fun working on another display!

And credit for any energy I had/have goes to the Twinings Tea Company.  ;)

That was an FM Con in the 90s, not Monster Bash.

No, it WAS Monster Bash!

But it followed his similar, previous appearance-in-disguise at the FM Con. Ron Adams told me so himself, who saw Jackson in the get-up. Jackson's bodyguard was ID'ed at the Bash.

I didn't think to get photos of all my UMA friends at Bash (I wish I had one of Miss Drac in her vampy attire) but here are more:

J Michael Roddy and Joe Moe in a trippy mood, unfazed by the sudden appearance of the monolith from 2001:

Monster Maniac Rick Stoner:

MFTV artist Daniel Horne meeting my friend Haunted:

Me and Haunted having some face time:

Jim Grimm and his brother (whose name I regret to say I've forgotten) were nattily attired:

Hey These guys look familiar:

I have to say...I am fazed by that monolith.  It is trying to conceal something from me.  I want to rip its secrets from its cold, metallic heart.

I'm glad that display room came together so nicely.  It looks swell.  I like it.  Good work everyone.

The Drunken Severed Head

An actual fistfight broke out in the bar Sat. night-- a first for the Bash! (It was between a few "townies".) This inspired more fighting.

Rob Tullo passively resisted all efforts to provoke an altercation. He is indeed a wise guy:

Robert and Jane went at it -- breaking into "cane fu" fighting:

Hello My fellow Fiends and Famous Monsters!
I have finally had a moment to catch up from all of the projects and focus on last weekend's experience. This was my first visit to the Bash and I can not begin to explain how absolutely wonderful a time I had. The event is truly unlike the other convention/gatherings I have been to. Between this and the Monsterpalooza event in California, the Monster Kid in me is in full swing.

The people were amazingly friendly and open, the conversations were smart and passionate, the exhibits were well-done, the dealer rooms were full of memories and new must-have items, and the presentations were filled with awesome anecdotes about the subjects we wanted to hear about.

Favorite moments:

Watching a film print of the Bride of Frankenstein projected with the whirring sound of projector and amazingly clear and vibrant sound.
Watching Ron Chamberlain, the modern-day Jack Pierce, apply his make-up to the Monster and the Wolfman and himself as Grandpa Munster.

Following the Frankenstein's Monster, The Bride, The Wolfman and Abbott & Costello around and watching how perfectly they moved.

Meeting Elizabeth Haney. She introduced me to so many fine folks, and our trip to the cemetary was inspired.

Having breakfast with members of the UMA (Robert, Rob and Jane) and just talking.

Watching A & C Meet Frankenstein.

Listening to Mark Statler's CD while driving around PA searching for Evans Cemetary from Night Of The Living Dead.
Being allowed to interview so many cool folks for MonsterKids!
Having tequila with Joe Moe!
and many many many more memories!
Special Thanks to Ron Adams. You sir are aces!

Beast Witches!
Michael

Here are a few of the pics. More to come!
