Well, I was planning on attending the Portage Theater and the convention/movie fest that Time Tunnel Toys puts on (as I always do), but I had to miss it due to a very nasty flu I caught that's still lingering.  >:( Ugh! I hate that! I was so excited about seeing Werewolf of London on the big screen!  :'(

But I noticed that the Portage site has the flyer for the next show which is on July 25th and they're going to be playing The Deadly Mantis, Monster On Campus, and Curse of the Werewolf! Oh man, now that I look forward to, especially the Deadly Mantis and Curse of the Werewolf! A whole month to wait. Argh!

No, John-- THANKS for having it. It is a very fun show. I wish my damn life wasn't always so busy that I could stick around and watch all the movies. I had a blast at the last Halloween one when my brother and I got to see "Fright Night" on the big screen for the first time ever-- one of my favorite movies-- paired with "Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man". That was a great night. I am smiling right now thinking about it. My brother really enjoyed himself too.

Plus I got some good toys at the show yesterday, as well as an uncut print (or at least as complete as I've ever seen) of "Twins of Evil", but not, alas, "Frankenstein and The Monster From Hell."  Thanks again, John.

I want to point out this announcement to those who participate and read these threads.

http://www.universalmonsterarmy.com/forum/index.php?topic=5002.msg80085#new

It doesn't only apply to Portage Theater show threads, but there has been a great deal of trouble in them due to conflicts off this board.  As moderators we are tired of having to deal with this on an ongoing basis.  The other members of this forum are tired of it as well.  This goes not only for overt fighting between you guys, but seemingly "innocent" covert digs at one another too.  There are 5 or 6 people who are about to get banned if it does not stop right now.  That means all forms of nonsense that has been going on, and I do mean ALL.

If you have any questions about this, send them via PM or email.

Carry on...

Thanks, Bobby. It has been a runaway mine car around here for several weeks. Between the bickering and the endless stupid threads that have nothing to do with Monsters, some tightening of the belt would be a nice change!  :)

Toy Ranch

As far as threads "not having to do with monsters" goes, this is the General Discussion forum and all the others are having to do with monsters, so monster or not, it ends up here if it doesn't go anywhere else.  There are a couple changes coming soon to a forum near you which we hope will be positive for everyone.

We are aware.  It is indeed time to tighten some belts.

I want you to be able to talk about your show without problems too.  If you are having problems with someone, contact a moderator via PM or email.  If you  or anyone wants to trade swipes at each other, you're going to have to do it somewhere else.  I believe this is the first thread about your show that hasn't ended in problems and locked up.  I'm not blaming that on you or your show, but we're not going to put up with the childish fighting and other games some of the people who post to these threads have been playing any longer.

Well it's good to see no fighting this time, which is how it should be. I for one am just totally excited that Time Tunnel Toys is doing such a fun show close by and on a regular basis, instead of a once-a-year thing out of state (which I always end up having to miss anyway). I'd love to go to some of the big shows, but it's either a pain to get the time off, or the cost is prohibitive, or whatever. These smaller shows are do-able, and regularly. I love it!  :)
