Death - Empty Words

I love this song and album so much, I had to post it for those who might not have heard this. To me this is when the Godfather of modern Death Metal...seperated himself from "Death Metal" Even the lyrics are just so damn deep and meaningfull!.... R.I.P Chuck...still my fave! Put the lyrics up to give the full effect..hope you dig it, its probably one of my top 5 songs ever written and thought I'd share:

Ashes and promises share a bond
Through the winds of change
Words are blown away
When visions that should be
Are tattooed in your mind
The power to let go
Is sometimes hard to find

The answer cannot be found
In the writing of others
Or the words of a trained mind
In a precious world of memories
We find ourselves confined

Claws so razor sharp
Ripping at the spirit

[Chorus:]
Promises a potential to hurt
Is anything real?
When forever is to be until
Deep inside, in the world of empty words...
No escaping from those haunting
empty words...

[Solo: Schuldiner]

Do you ever feel it?
A craving that is so strong
To by thought rewind in order to find

Expectations that shined through the doubt
That soon would turn into the price
Of what a word will be worth
When tomorrow comes
To be and we are left
Standing on our own-
And seeing what is real...

The answer cannot be found
In the writing of others
Or the words of a trained mind
In a precious world of memories
We find ourselves confined

Claws so razor sharp
Ripping at the spirit

[Repeat chorus]

Ok, so I'm listining to the satellite the other day and as usual I tune into my favorite show "Ian Christie's: Bloody Roots" and this week was Part 6 (can you belive 6 hr long shows on this already?! Ian Christie is the MAN anyway..) of "Bloody Roots of Greybeard Metal"...and they played a few tracks from these guys a band from the late 60's early 70's called Master's Apprentices, I couldnt get this tune outta my head! He went on to have the higher ups from Metal Blade records on the show to talk about all this stuff being re-released soon and how important the late 60's and early 70's were to forming metal and how many other "Black Sabbath's" were around but didnt make it....these guys inparticular are from Australia and they had AC/DC being fans way back when. It was a great show talking about so many of these "Greybeard Metal" bands and how alot of these guys served in 'Nam because of the time brackett....really cool intresting stuff. I just thought I would share what I heard and post this song.........

Einstürzende Neubauten - Sabrina    It's not a "hard" song, but one of the best videos ever and a truly great song.  26 years of continuous music and there's a lot out there.  One of the greatest industrial bands ever...
