Im listening to Roy Acuff and the smokey mountain boys on 78"s...
now tell me THATs not old school.. lol

when i play 78's, its as though you entered the Flinstones era.. each record is like a huge flat rock...lol
it makes me laugh.but it sounds amazinggg.. I love that scratchy raw tone.. cant duplicate it. its the real deal.. LOVE IT.

If you ever see anything by Henri and his Cornpoppers, check it out.  I've only seen him on 78s.  Early to mid 50s.  His fiddle can really rock ahead of its time.  Only one I had broke years ago.

I have actually heard him. (believe it or not.. lol.. !!! ) I saw it at Amoeba once. Guess I'll be buyin it when I go there nxt time.
I also love the whole yodeling cowboy thing that Jimmie Rodgers & Wilf Carter did,, but Elton Britt is my fave. I have some really cool records of both those guys. Hank Snow kinda does it too actaully,  but its all great stuff.

Always interested in new music/bands...or at least ones I hadn't heard of before!!  I'd seen the Murderdolls open for the Gruesome Twosome Tour.....wasn't impressed then but I checked them out again all the same, my feelings have not changed!
