I still have this in my ever shrinking collection. This was cast directly from the Caesar statue seen in the last Apes movie:



It is one of my favorites in my collection- I love the PO Apes!!

Seriously though, where is that thing these days? Also, where is the original Lawgiver statue? I know that guy in Japan has one, but where is the original?

The Caesar statue was owned by Roddy McDowall, and was donated after his death to the Hollywood Actors Home. Apemania casted the statue and offered the head in return for a donation to the Home.

This is an awsome piece! Partiallity to monster flix aside, I'm inclined to believe Ceasar is RD's most powerful role. This is one reason "Conquest" is my favorite Apes film.

Apemania website is like the Sears Christmas catalogue was to me as a kid!! I would love to get the full size Caesar to put in the garden (I live in Massachusetts- the transport would be $$$$$$$!!) I would also love to get a full Gorilla outfit!!
