Ran some Christmas-type errands, had lunch at Skyline Chili (mainly only southern Ohio folks will know the delights of Skyline, which is not "chili", really, but a Greek/Armenian "coney sauce", served with chopped onions and shredded cheddar, over spaghetti!), and then visited with elderly friends and we laughed a lot.  I got them to watch GYPSY and they loved the "Ya Gotta Have a Gimmick" number with the strippers demonstrating their--um--specialties!  My friends are in their upper 80s, but by golly, "snow on the roof, but a fire in the furnace" describes them well!  Going to write out and address Christmas cards tonight.

My wife is out of town this weekend, so instead of hitting the bars and strip clubs I spent a relaxing Saturday repainting kits and watching classic monster movies! I finsihed repainting my Tsukuda Franky,Kharis and Creech and watched Policewomen (ok not a monster movie, but a sleazy early 70s drive-in action movie), Frankenstein Conquers the World, Bride of Frankenstein and Voyage Into Space! After that I stayed up late with my two teenage sons and one of their friends and watched the Friday the 13th remake and Rob Zombie's Halloween 2.
Crazy am I? We'll see if I'm crazy or not!

The family and I went ice skating indoors at the Depot here in Minneapolis. The Depot is a historic landmark here in Mpls. It used to be the Minneapolis train station which was retrofitted as a hotel with an indoor swimming pool and ice rink. Very cool place. Voted the best indoor skating by USA Today including Kristi Yamaguchi!

We get Skyline chili canned down here and we can eat there when I'm up in Indiana visiting family.
